Dear Ma’am/Sir,

Greetings!

I am Daisy Pagatpatan Aban, a grade 12 student of Solano High School under the

Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand. Under our Immersion subject,

we are required to learn and be exposed about the careers that we want to pursue, and I

aim to enter the field of accounting and become an accountant after college.

I believe that knowledge and skills I have gained in my studies can contribute greatly to

the work that your company does in the community. I also hope that working with you

will prove to be a good venue in doing my skills to make me better fit in the industry.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

REFLECTION

Work Immersion sounds stressful for Senior High School students. Yet, as part of

the K to 12 Curriculum, we Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) students

were required to gain relevant learning experiences.

As a graduating student, work immersion made me realized for all the things that

I lack of and change me to become a better one. This activity helps me to on how to be a

responsible, to have patience, initiative and it also shows to me how does it feel to be in a

work place. This activity helps me to make my parents happy in doing chores and also

this activity helps me to improved more my relationship to my parents.

Work Immersion is amazing and very interesting activity which I learned new

ideas, gained knowledge and it improves my skills . I learned a lot of things that I never

learned before which helped me to improve myself and enhanced my expertise, talent and

strategies. This experience makes me more confident and improve my professionalism

and hopefully to be successful someday. Through this home-based immersion I was able
to explore and interact people with different personalities. It also improve my

communication skills and helps me to my chosen field. It is also my chance to know

myself better and I realized what I want to do to my life and to my future.

NARRATIVE REPORT

On the First day, June 08, 2022, 7:35 in the morning when I woke up because of the

noise of my mom and sister talking in our living room, so I got up and washed my face

before sitting next to my sister. They were talking about my nephew’s birthday but they

didn’t have enough money to prepare for his birthday. I was the one who will go to

market because they said I knew how to bargain for goods so I agreed. Before I went, my

sister gave me ₱ 1,500.00 and told me everything what I will going to buy and told me to

budget the money. When I was in the market I bought vegetables for noodles and soup

because the price of vegetables was high I made a bid. The price per kilo of carrots was ₱

60.00 but made ₱ 50.00, cabbage was ₱ 50.00 made ₱ 45.00 and beans were ₱ 40.00

made ₱ 35.00 so I still saved. The rest of the money I bought two kilos of noodles, two

kilos of macaroni, a kilo of spaghetti, a kilo of chicken, a kilo of meat, Hotdog, kikkiam,
corn beef, soy, oil and seasonings. After they computed it, they showed me the total of ₱

1233.00 and I paid ₱ 1250.00 and I was paid ₱ 17.00. When I left the store, I suddenly

remembered the red and green pepper that I was going to buy so I counted the remaining

money and there was still ₱ 137.00, it was still correct to buy red and green pepper at ₱

80.00/kilo so I bought it before umuwi. When I got here at home I gave them what I

bought and the change, my mom and sister were even surprised because I was able to fit

the ₱ 1,500.00, I was even told that I really know how to budget.

On the second day, June 09, 2022, I woke up early because I was going to list my baby’s

things because they were gone. I looked at the baby’s belongings one by one so I knew

what was gone. I wondered what else baby needed. The ones I listed are Diapers, Baby

powder, baby cologne, cotton buds, cottons, alcohol, baby oil, baby shampoo, baby

lotion, baby soap, aciete de Manzanilla, and his vitamins like Tiki- Tiki and Ceelin Plus. I

also bought Tempra and Calpol. After I made the list, I bathed my son and put him to

sleep. About 10:45 I took a bath and went to the Traders Mart to buy the ones I listed. I

went to Traders Mart and pulled out the list I had made. I took one by one the ones I

listed and put them in the push cart. About 11.32 am I finished getting everything on my

list, and I went straight to the counter to line up. When I was close to the counter, an old

man suddenly came in and he put down what he was going to buy on the counter and he

told me that he would go first because his grandchildren were hungry because I felt sorry

for him and he was old, I agreed. When he finished, he looked at me and thanked me

before leaving and when I was next I put the ones I took and put them on the counter.

After they recorded it and used a laser barcode scanner, the bagger get it all to put it to
eco bag. After that the cashier said the purchased is ₱ 1124.50, so I gave my 2000.and

she gave me the ₱ 876.00 change.

On the third day, June 10, 2022, I woke up at 7:30 am to get ready because I still have to

go through my clearances for my requirements to join ASA Philippines Foundation.

Around 9:30 am I went to Barangay to get clearance. I write my name to the logbook

after that the secretary asked me what I need so I told her that I need to get Barangay

Clearance and Cedula. The secretary asked me why I need this, I said to her that it’s my

requirements to join in ASA and I also remembered that it’s also my requirements to my

Immersion Portfolio as a graduating student. She gave me a piece of paper to write my

name and other information’s so that they can encoded it for my clearance and Cedula.

Then I went to the Municipal hall, I went straight to the security guard to ask where I

would get the mayor’s Certification and he asked me what else I would get so I said I also

need to get police clearance and court clearance. Then he pointed me to an office and he

told me that’s where I would go . So I went straight to that office and told them what I

would take. they asked where to use them so I said that it is my requirements to join the

ASA Philippines Foundation and I also need it for my immersion portfolio. Then after

that they gave me a receipt of clearances and showed me where I was going to get

clearances. I went to the mayor's office to showed them my receipt for the mayor's

certification. After that they gave me the mayor's certification. Next I went straight to the

police station and showed my receipt to be given police clearance and finally I went to

the trial court office then I gave my receipt for court clearance, before they will gave me
the court clearance and they even told me to pay ₱ 60.00. After I pay, they gave me the

court clearance and I went home.

On the fourth day, June 11, 2022, me and my partner woke up at 6:30 am because we

have to be early so that we can buy many goods(kalakal). After we ate breakfast were

ready to start our trade. Around 7:00 am We went to Murong and Careb to buy goods,

While my partner was driving I would shout “Bakal,Bote, Plastic, lata, yero!” I always

shout this everytime I see a houses or people. While I’m busy shouting, there was two

kids also shouting “bakal-bote” so it means they will selling their goods. We went to their

house and the two kids out their so called “kalakal”. My partner get some sacks while me

got the weighing scale. We classified their goods and put it to the sack while the two kids

asked me if how much the plastic so I replied and said ₱10.00/kilo. When the goods are

already in the sacks, we put it to the weighing scale to know the weight of their goods,

The weight of their goods is 15 kilos so they will have ₱150.00. The two kids were happy

when I gave the money. After we gave the money we went back to the tricycle to put the

goods (kalakal) and to continue driving and shouting. Around 10:30 we stopped at the

store to buy our snacks and to get some rest. After 10 minutes we went back again to get

more round so that we could buy more of goods. All of our goods costs of ₱667.00

Around 11:45 our tricycle was full of goods and there’s no more space so we decided to

go home. Exactly 12:00 when we arrived at home, we get some rest and after that we ate

lunch and get some rest again. At exactly 3:00 pm me and my partner decided to classify

our goods “ kalakal”, we get off the goods in the tricycle and I take off the sacks. We

classified it according to the types like plastic, minereal bottles, can, steel, bottle and
papers and put it again to the sacks. We put it to the tricycle and tied it so it wouldn’t fall.

When we are done we went to lantap to sell it at the junkshop. When we arrived at the

junkshop, we put down our goods so that their worker will put the goods to the weighing

scale according to their typle/class. The secretary list all the weight, and then she put the

price and she computed it. After that she gave me the list and she said the total of our

“kalakal” then she pay us ₱ 1,638.00.

On the fifth day, June 12, 2022 I woke up at 6:30 in the morning, mama and papa left

early because they were going somewhere, so me and my baby were left here at home.

Because I wake up well I have a good day I will clean the house. I bathed and put my

child to bed so I could start cleaning. When I started I thought of changing the position of

the teddy bears and books because it wasn’t arranged. I removed the teddy bears and

books from the cabinet and wiped the cabinet because there was a lot of dust. After I

wiped the cabinet, I wiped the teddy bears and books. Then I arranged the teddy bears

and books according to their height. I also fixed the nail cleaners and combs because of

where they were placed. I removed the hanging clothes and folded them and put them in

the Dura box. About 10:30, my mom and dad arrived. They found the house neat and

clean, so they were happy with what I did. So I was also happy with myself because my

parents appreciated what I did.
