LISTENING

Instructions for the teacher / invigilator

 Check to make sure the candidates can hear the test properly. If they cannot hear
the recording, they should raise their hand and inform the invigilator immediately.

 Make sure the candidates read the instructions on the question paper and listen to
them on the recording so they are completely clear about what they have to do.

 Candidates should write their answers on the question paper as they listen.

 All the texts in the exam are heard twice. Remind learners to use both listenings to
refine their answers.

 Allocate 4 minutes for the candidates to complete writing down their answers after
the last question (question 25).

 This is the English Language Listening test.

 There are six parts to the test. You will hear each recording twice. For each part of
the test there will be time for you to look through the questions and time for you to
check your answers.

 Write your answers on the question paper.

 Please ask any questions now, because you must not speak during the test.
