1. Click Management then click Board Management.

3. In the Full Board Search column table, select the charts to be filtered.

5. Select a column name in the Item List and drag it in the Search Item table. Let’s choose
Churn.

6. In Method to Specify Search Value dropdown, select the type of filter. Let’s choose
Checkbox.

7. In Comparison Condition dropdown, select the condition of the filter.

8. In Candidate Filter dropdown, select Direct Input if you want to create your own list of
filter values. Otherwise, select Value of Other Data Source Definition Item if you want to
base the filter values to a particular field value.

9. Click Browse

10. Click the Data Source you want to reference the filter values then click OK.

11. In the Item Name (Value) dropdown, select the column field you want to base the filter
value. Then click OK once done.

13. To add the filter in the dashboard click Search, go to Full Board Search then select the
Full Board Search you created.

To change the color of the chart contents:

1. Left click on any part of the chart and select ‘Edit Chart’.

2. The chart editor window will appear and click on the
third drop-down menu and select ‘Style Settings’ below
the common settings.

3. Click on the gear icon beside the ‘Color Settings’.

5. Since we are managing the gender pie chart


in our dashboard and gender variable is
located in the column item, we can put the
values one by one in the ‘Column Item Value’
and select the respective colors preferred.

6. Click on ‘New’ button to create the color


setting. Click ‘OK’ after adding all the colors.

7. Click ‘Apply’ in the chart editor to make
the changes.

8. The pie chart should look like this. Be sure


to add all the values in the variable item in the
color settings to create a better looking chart.

To enhance the appearance of the charts on your board:

1. Open the chart editor by clicking ‘Edit Chart’.


2. If you click on a Pie Chart, the ‘Edit Chart’ menu will bring you to the Pie Chart
Settings.

3. You can make the pie chart displayed on 3D and


edit some enhancements based on your liking.

To apply changes on the labels of the


chart:

1. Click the edit chart, then Pie Chart


settings (Chart Editor>Pie Chart
settings).
2. Choose the presentation of the labels
using the Data Label Initial Display
and Data Label Contents.

Example: In this example, the initial display used is Callout and the percentages of
each item is shown.

To check the whole layout of the chart which includes the margins, title, legends and
chart area, click the ‘Layout’ tab in the Chart Editor (Chart Editor>Layout).

To properly show the contents and title of the chart:

1. Create a ‘Container’ in the preferred location in the dashboard. Click the container
icon in the toolbar.

2. Click ‘OK’ to create the container where we will put the title and the chart contents.

3. Cut the container horizontally in two by using the ‘Edit Layout’ icon.

4. Adjust the length of the tile vertically by left holding the
white line in between the sliced tiles.

5. Create a text in the upper portion of the sliced container


and type the title of the chart. Click ‘OK’ after editing the title
format.

6. In the image below, we can just drag the chart named ‘pie’ under the title bar in our
created container using the ‘Edit Layout’ icon in the toolbar.

7. To remove the chart title in the chart itself, click left click
the chart and select ‘Properties’ and hide the chart title.

The final layout will look like this.

We can also do some design enhancements on our filters by putting title bar and
changing the color.

1. Create a ‘Container’ and place it on the desired location in the dashboard. Click
‘OK’ to apply the container.

2. Cut the container horizontally in two by using the ‘Edit Layout’


icon.

3. Create a ‘Text’ and put it in the title bar created. You can select different font size,
style, background color and change the alignment of the title.

4. To edit the appearance of the filter, left click on any part of it and select
‘Properties’.

5. The image on the right shows the different


adjustments you can make on the filter created.
Click ‘Apply’ to make the changes.
