It was the second year of my MBBS studies we went for an excursion to….a remote village at …..

as a
course requirement. My main responsibility was to help local health posts to work on
improving…..During my one month excursion at…., I frequently had to go for door visits to nearby
residents to collect data about the health conditions of each family and help them to improve their
health. During those visits, I found numerous cases where a family could not take their sick family
member to a health care facility because they could not afford the expenses. Though it was just 12 days
lefts after data collection, I spent much of my remaining days revising those families, teaching
them…………..distributing them essential medicines that …provided us . I inspected the implementation
of my suggestion too . They embraced my suggestion with full of heart. Though I could not observe what
difference my suggestion brought into their life at that time, I could observe the change in their behavior
and confidence in adopting a healthier lifestyle. This incident still motivates me.

To be specific, I am interested in getting the license from…..to work as a registered doctor. It will help
me on getting experience in working in a world-class health facility and use that knowledge and
technology in a global platform to address the health needs of people who cannot afford the expenses
of medical facilities for their health checkups. Long before I apply for the AMBOSS scholarship, I
acquainted myself with the objectives and goals of the…………... It is determined to provide timely and
accurate knowledge to students and healthcare workers about their field of interest. I am sure that the
access provided in AMBOSS materials will help me to strengthen my knowledge in the medical field so
that I can easily crack down the standard tests like USMLE. It would be my first step towards achieving
the goal of helping people with healthcare services.

Indeed, I have started my education through a Primary school at ……. My father mostly spent work in the
fields while my mother was weak and often got sick. Whenever she used to visit local health posts, she
immediately used to become fine and strong. That influenced me a lot and it was there in my
subconscious mind to pursue my career in the medical field and help sick people like my mother since
my childhood. I have done my undergraduate studies at a premier institution in Nepal. Being nurtured
by excellent faculty in a profound academic environment, I was able to secure a top position among the
batchmates of my undergraduate studies.

I firmly believe that good work experience is the basis of a good career as a Registered doctor. I have
worked for two years as a Medical officer at…….after completing my mbbs degree. Currently, I am
volunteering………….. I have my long-term goal to spend my energy and skills on improving the health of
people who are living on the outskirts and could not get health support in need. I would take it as an
honor and privilege to be able to work with experts in the health sectors, and avail of the excellent
infrastructure facilities, and opportunities it has to offer. I am confident that regular interaction with
eminent health workers and stimulating work environments will prove to be immensely fruitful and
facilitate my growth as scintillating healthcare personal in my field.
I feel that AMBOSS has a lot to offer me, and at the same time, I could make a positive contribution to
fulfilling the aims and objectives of this ……….. I am determined to pursue my career as skillful and
eminent healthcare personal with expertise in…………. Alongside; I would like to help institutions like the
Primary Health Center, a local body of the Nepal Government, which is determined to provide lifesaving
medical services and spread ……………knowledge to the local levels. I am confident that I am capable of
making commitments and accept hefty challenges on the way to my work. As from my previous
voluntary and work activities, I have experience in dealing with the technical issues in working on health
sectors using available resources and my acuity. I enjoy group discussions and sharing of knowledge. I
have received positive responses while working as a doctor in hospitals in Nepal. Therefore, I am
convinced that I have the aptitude, perseverance, and motivation that could make a meaningful
contribution to my chosen field.

As I have decided to pursue my career in eminent healthcare personal, I am sufficiently wary of the
consequences of implication. I am aware of the level of perseverance, resilience, and dedication it calls
for in return. I honestly found myself adequately prepared both academically and mentally.

I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with AMBOSS.
