Answer the following:

1. Differentiate assessment from evaluation.
Base on the numerical value provided during measurement, we will now
assess the value whether students have learned and this assessment will have
become the basis for revision of the instruction then evaluation will then takes
place which means that evaluation will summarize the data gathered that are
relevant for decision-making. Thus, assessment helps students, and assessment
helps teachers as well. On the first hand, as stated in DO. No. 8, s.2015, “ Policy
guidelines on Classroom Assessment for K to 12 BEP”, assessment, particularly
classroom assessment plays an integral part of curriculum implementation. It
measures learners’ progress and it becomes the basis for the adjustment of the
instruction accordingly. It informs the learners, as well as their parents/guardians
of the student’s progress. On the other hand, evaluation involves judgment about
the desirability of changes in student. According to Tuckman (1975), it is a
process where parts or outcomes of a program are examined to see whether
they are satisfactory, particularly with reference to the program stated objectives,
expectations or standards of excellence.

2. Discuss the significance of using formative assessment in teaching

entrepreneurial concepts.
According to UNESCO program on Technology and Learning for Suitable
Future (UNESCO-TLSF), formative assessment refers to the learning process. It
is informal and is intended to help student identify their strengths and
weaknesses. This form of assessment is significant in teaching entrepreneurial
concepts since it has the purpose of both assessment of learning and
assessment as learning: it is for the teachers adjustment of the instruction and
students could reflect on their own progress, respectively. Other than that, this
will help students to think outside the box since the result of formative
assessment are not used for grading makes it more useful for learning, most
especially for those less-able learners.
