Output 1: Increased citizen participation in devolved government structures


Activities
Hold training workshops targeting specific sectors, county government, civil society
organizations (inclusive of women’s group, youth, PWDS) on the need to increase
participation in planning
Development and distribution of social mobilization packages for awareness raising on
functions of devolved government and citizens responsibilities
Output 2: Access to justice for all, especially the poor and marginalized, and realization of
human rights in Kenya improved
Activities:
Training duty bearers (e.g. judicial and administrative authorities and lawmakers) on
prison/detention decongestion) on human rights especially for vulnerable groups
Hold community forums with women, youth, PWDS, the elderly to discuss on judicial system
and human rights for vulnerable groups
Output 3: Capacity of civil society organizations in the democratic governance sector
strengthened to enable them sustainably to discharge their mandates effectively and efficiently

community strategy to ensure sustainability of the initiative
