Technocratic Decision-Making
- It plays a principle that trained staff “experts” are best suited to
make complex technical decisions.
- It is mixed decisions- decisions involving both technical and
value judgement.
- It is solely based on the application and extrapolation of
scientific issues.
- Value decisions are concerned with the resolution of important
normative or societal issues
