BREAK THE LIMITS:

BMC E-SPORTSFEST &

VIRTUAL LITMUSDA
COMPETITION 2021

RATIONALE

The Philippine government, through CHED Memorandum

No. 09 series of 2013 known as Enhanced Policies and
Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services, mandates that
every Higher Education Institution (HEI), such as Balud
Municipal College, shall implement programs to promote
culture, arts and sports among students (Article IX Sections 33
and 34).
Traditionally, BMC has been conducting sportsfest and
LITMUSDA (literary, musical and dance) every October of each
academic year to fulfill the aforementioned mandate. However,
this Academic Year 2020-2021, our usual conduct of sportsfest
and LITMUSDA has been put on hold due to the COVID-19
pandemic.

1
With thorough deliberation and with consultation with the
Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19, the school
has decided to hold the said event in a virtual platform. This will
be called Break the Limits: BMC E-Sportsfest & Virtual
LITMUSDA Competition 2021 and will be held on January 28
& 29, 2021.

EVENTS AND THEIR MODE OF IMPLEMENTATION

The following will be the events which BMCians will be

competing for in the E-Sportsfest & LITMUSDA Competition
2021:
1. E-Sports (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Tournament)
2. Search for Mr. & Ms. Sportsfest 2021
3. Hiphop
4. Folk Dance
5. Dancesport
6. Vocal Duet
7. Vocal Solo
8. Extemporaneous Speech
9. Dagliang Talumpati
10. Spoken Word Poetry

In the E-Sports, the participants, who represent their

respective Units, will be competing live and online to be
facilitated by a faculty/staff member who acts as a referee.

2
The Search for Mr. & Ms. E-Sportsfest 2021 will be done
in the usual money contest. The coronation will be done in a
virtual platform.
The LITMUSDA competition will be done virtually wherein
participants will send the videos of their performances for
scoring. An exception to this are the Extemporaneous Speech
and Dagliang Talumpati, which will be done live.
The BMC Multimedia Room will serve as the venue of the
virtual programs.
