Worship
Worship is recognizing God's all-powerfulness and giving Him glory. Worship is an
act of religious devotion usually directed towards a deity. Worship is a praising,
love and respect for creator.
Worship in Islam
Worship in Islam is a part of daily life for Muslims and pleasing to God Worship is
included in the five pillars, most important from that of Salat (Namaz), which is
the practice of ritual prayer five times daily. In the Muslim world, the
word worship is forbidden to be used (Ibadat) if it refers to an object or action
and not exclusively to Allah.
In Islam Salat is primary worship (Ibadat) and part of five pillars of Islam. All five
pillars are basically worship (Ibadat).The five pillars – the declaration of faith
(shahadat), prayer (Namaz), alms-giving (zakat), fasting (Roza) and pilgrimage
(hajj) – constitute the basic norms of Islamic practice. They are accepted by
Muslims globally irrespective of ethnic, regional or sectarian differences.

Testimony of Faith (Shahadah): The first of the five basic foundations is
knowingly and voluntarily asserting that, “There is nothing worthy of worship
except Allah, and Muhammad(peace be upon him) is the Messenger and last
prophet of Allah.”
Charity (Zakat): This is an annual charity given to the poor. Muslims must give
2.5% of their yearly savings or specific amount gold and silver to help the poor,
Charity is one of the vital sources of social welfare in Islam.
Fasting (Roza): Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan, the ninth month
of the Muslim lunar calendar, by refraining from eating, drinking, and sexual
interaction from dawn to sunset.
