Praise I pray toward the presence of the only God, the Almighty God who has given
hisblessing and guidance so that the preparation of papers be resolved.

Now we are in the 21st century, a century full of competition, local competition,
national competition, and global competition. Competition in all cases can not be avoided.
Therefore, wemust equip ourselves to face the competition. Provision of science and
technology alone is notenough if not balanced with good language skills

Paper is designed to give an explanation about expression of congratulation,


introducing self, future tense and descriptive text with the aim of completing the task of
making a paper for English subject. Finally, our gratitude goes to all those who have helped
resolve this paper. In addition, we also like to thank the authors whose articles we have

CHAPTER I

BACKROUND

1.1 Background

English is the international language. By mastering English well, we will be able to


communicate with other nations in this world. In addition, we will also be able to increase our
insight and knowledge for the advancement of our nation and country, because we will be
able to read English literature, listen to foreign radio broadcasts, and watch other scientific
films. Thus, in the end we can master knowledge in all fields.

In addition to increasing understanding of the international language, learning English


will at least make it easier for us to get a decent job, or for our knowledge in the future. By
understanding and mastering international languages properly and correctly, of course, will
provide very good benefits for all of us.

For that, it is necessary to first understand the grammar in English. In addition to


smoothing the pronunciation, we will also understand how to arrange the words to be
pronounced so that they become one sentence that is solid and correct according to the tenses.

a. Definition of expression of congratulation

Expression of congratulation is speech or expression that is give to people who are


getting or having something bahagia.Dalan it is not limited to the position, just goods, but
also including when someone is celebrating something.

b. We should learning about expression of congratulation because :

 we can feel the happiness of others who experienced

Introducing Yourself is an expression used to introduce yourself.

memperkenalkan diri saya,nama saya ratnasari).
Tiaara : Hy, My name is Tiara, but please call me “ara” (Hai, Nama lengkap saya
adalah tiara tapi panggil saja “ara”)

Dialogue 2
Hafizah : Good morning, I want introduce my self. my full name is Hafizah
Salsabillah Putri, and may I know your name? (Selamat pagi saya akan
memperkenalkan diri saya. Nama lengkap saya adalah Hafizah Salsabillah Putri)
Faiha : Good morning too, I would like to introduce my self to you. My name is
Faiha maharani. (Selamat pagi juga, saya akan memperkenalkan diri saya. Nama
lengkap saya Faiha maharani.

3. Future Tense
Definition of Future Tense

Future tense is a form of verb that is specifically used to express or express an activity
or activity that will be carried out in the future. We all already understand that, but what
matters is in what conditions and how an activity or activity is expressed.

1. Simple Future Tense

This Tense is used to express an action to happen in the future.

Formulas of Simple Future Tense:

(Positive) : S + shall/will + V1

(Negative) : S + shall/will + not + V1

(Interrogative) : Shall/will + S + V1

Examples:

• I shall see you tonight

• He will speaks English well soon

• They will do their homework tomorrow

(Negative) :

• I will not see you toninght

• He will not speaks English well soon

• They will not do their homework

(Interrogative) :

• Will you see her tonight?

• Will he speaks English well soon?

• Will they do their homework?

A lot have a notion that Future Tense can be expressed by "be going to". This not
entirely correctness, because "going to" usually not express future the purification but
containing certainty or intention the speaker. Examples:

• He is going to do his homework

• I am going to marry you

Comparing with:

• He will do his homework as soon as his mother asks him

• I will marry you if I have enough money

Future by "going to" seldom accompany another Clause (anak kalimat). because if
that way, no longger show someone desire. While Future with shall/will often respective
another clauses.

2. Future Continuous Tense

This Tense is used to express estimated to action underway at the time of selected
is future or there is happened other action.

Formulas of Future Continuous Tense:

(Positive) : S + shall/will be + V ing

(Negative) : S + shall/will + not + be + V ing

(Interrogative) : Shall/will + S + Be + V ing?

Examples:

(Positive) :

• I will be sleeping at 12 o’clock tonight

(Negative) :

• I will not be sleeping toninght

(Interrogative) :

• Will you be sleeping tonight?

3. Future Perfect Tense

This Tense is used to express an estimated action have been done at the selected
time in future or if there are any other action.

Formulas of Future Perfect Tense:

(Positive) : S + shall/will have + V3

(Negative) : S + shall/will + not + have + V3

(Interrogative) : Shall/will + S + have + V3?

Examples:

(Positive) :

• You will have spoken English well.

(Negative) :

• You will not have spoken English well.

(Interrogative) :

• Will You have spoken English well?

4. Future Perfect Continuous Tense

This Tense is weared to express an estimated action will come in selected future
period or if there are any happened other action. This Tense seldom wear.

Formulas of Future Perfect Tense:

(Positive) : S + shall/will have been + V ing

(Negative) : S + shall/will + not + have been + V ing

(Interrogative) : Shall/will + S + have been + V ing?

Examples:

(Positive) :

• He will have been teaching for 30 years next January.

(Negative) :

• He will not have teaching for 30 years next January.

(Interrogative) :

• Will He have been teaching for 30 years next January?

4. Desriptive Text

a. Defintion of descriptive text

Descriptive text is text that describes the description of a person or object. Its purpose
is to describe or reveal a particular person, place or thing.

It can also be said that Descriptive text is a text that describes what the person or
thing described is like, its shape, properties, numbers and so on

b. Descriptive Text structure (generic structure) is:


1. Identification (identification) is an introduction, in the form of a general description
of a topic. For example: Tom the Cat (name of pet), or Taj Mahal (name of building),
Pariaman (name of place)
2. Description (description) contains the special characteristics of the object, place, or
person being described. For example: Tom the Cat (name of pet), or Taj Mahal
(name of building), Pariaman (name of place).

When we write descriptive text, what we must know is how we convey the
description of our writing. Therefore, understanding adjectives (English adjectives) must be
mastered. Apart from adjectives, we must also understand some English structures that
function as adjectives so that our descriptive text is not stiff.

c. Descriptive Text characteristics:

- Using the simple present tense

- Using attribute verbs, such as be (am, is, are)

- Just focus on that one object.

d. Types of Descriptive Text:

1. Descriptive Text About People

Descriptive text about people is a descriptive text that describes or describes humans
such as friends, family, celebrities, scientists and so on. Examples are as follows:

Raditya Dika

Raditya Dika was born on December 28 1984. He is a writer, Comedian, and an actor. He is
one of success people in Indonesia, He has 6 million people as his followers in social media

(twitter). He also wrote some books that all of it are best seller, He is an actor in Kambing
Jantan Movie, Cinta Brontosaurus, Manusia Half Salmon, and Serial Malam Minggu Miko.

He is an easy going man. He has short black hair, His eyebrows are thick, he not so
tall, he has white skin and pointed nose. Everyone mentioned that he has two big nostril.

He has three sisters and one little brother named Edgar. He always bullying Edgar and
get a funny story from that. He also play in Stand Up Comedy that's a comedy series in TV.

2. Descriptive Text About Animal

Descriptive text about animals is descriptive text that describes or describes animals
such as pets, endangered animals and so on. Examples are as follows:

Tiger

Tigers are recognized by their orange, black, and white stripe pattern. A tiger's front
paws are large and strong to bring down prey. The tiger is one of the most charismatic and
evocative species on Earth. The front paws of a tiger have five toes each. Tigers are famous
for their thick, orange-tawny coats, gleaming amber-gold eyes, black to rich brown stripes,
and long, whip-like tail. Most cats don't like to swim, but on a hot day Tigers love to swim.
All the tigers have a similar marking on their forehead, which resembles the Chinese symbol
Wang, meaning King. Tigers do not purr. Unlike the domestic cat the tigers pupils are round.
The tiger's foot print is known as the pug mark. There are five toes on a tigers forefeet and
four on its hind feet. A tiger's night vision is six times greater than a humans. A tiger's canine
teeth can grow up to three inches long and would be capable of crunching through the
vertebrae of any creature on this earth. Adult tigers have thirty teeth.On average a tigers tail is
around four feet long or half the length of its body. The tail gives the tiger extra balance when
running and is also used to communicate to other tigers. The tendons in a tiger's leg are so
strong that an animal has been known to remain standing after it has been shot dead. The
Sumatran tiger has the most pronounced ruff around its neck. The South China tiger has the
fewest stripes. The fore limbs of a tiger are more powerful than the hind limbs for grabbing
large prey.

3. Descriptive Text About Place

Descriptive text about a place is a descriptive text that describes or describes a place
such as tourist attractions, offices, homes and others. An example :

Jeju Island

Do you know Jeju Island? I really want to visit Jeju Island. Jeju Island is one of sevent
natural wonders of the world. Jeju Island in Korea language is called Jeju-do. It is the largest
of all island in Korea. Jeju town is the capital of Jeju Island.

Jeju Island is the most famous tour destination in Korea because it has beautiful
nature and unique culture. Jeju Island can be called as Botanic Island because it grows with
more than 1700 kinds of plants. The tour destination on Jeju Island are Seongsan Ilchulbong,
Halla Arboretum, Manjanggul, Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, Jeongbang Waterfall, Sanbang
Mount, and Yeojimi Botanical Garden. Yeojimi Botanical Garden is the largest of all
botanical garden in Asia. It has tropic orchid plants, observatorium, and institute of ecology.

Jeju Island has so many beautiful beaches. I really want to visit them. It has four
season, there are winter, spring, autumn, and summer. The temperature of Jeju Island lies
between 14,6oC – 4,7oC. Local people in Jeju Island are called yukgoyeok. Most of them,
work at the beach. They collect fish, algae, and abalone. The famous food in Jeju Island is
jeonbokjuk.

Jeju Isalnd has twin island in the world like Hainan in China, Hawaii in America,
Sakhalin in Russia, and Bali in Indonesia.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

1. Conclusion

From this paper we can find out the rules of practice in English. This of course also
makes it easier for us to understand the teachings for one semester in class X.

2. Suggestions

My suggestion to reader is necessarily a more regular try to understand tenses because


startup we can make an english language deep sentence be tenses. And also we shall often
well-read that book a lot of reference. And then accustomize yourself to speak English with
your friend wherever you. Don’t shy or fear amiss.
