What Is Self-Motivation?
Self-motivation is the reason why you do what you do. To put it simply, it’s the reason

why you go to work, why you love your family, and why you enjoy traveling or reading.

It’s about knowing what you really want.

The meaning of self-motivated is derived from passion and an underlying desire to

achieve something.

Why Is Self-Motivation Important?

Let’s look at the importance of self-motivation for personal growth. Self-motivation is

important because it does not let you depend on others and drives you tap your

strengths to meet your goals. It also helps you ensure your work on your weaknesses

and don’t let them hinder your plans.

• Here are some key aspects of self-motivation

and why you need to build it:
1. Surviving in a competitive world

The world may throw problem after problem at you, but if you’re motivated you can

overcome any challenge.

2. Achieving personal goals

Try to understand the meaning of self-motivated in the context of your personal life.

Reasons such as lack of funds, trepidation about visiting a new country or a fear of

stepping out of your comfort zone will always hold you back.

3. Doing well in a professional setting

To really do well at work, you need to know your strengths and weaknesses. Self-

motivation drives you to move past setbacks and failures to learn from your mistakes.

It’s easy to feel bogged down at work,

• Select any 5 leaders of your choice

and write the qualities of all 5
leaders.

01 MUKESH AMBANI
Mukesh Ambani used to follow an unique leadership process. He doesn’t go for
traditional autocratic and transformational leaderships. He always follows his own
approach which makes him a fascinating leader today. Before we go for discussing
about his leadership qualities and skills we should understand how he thinks about his
business and approaches towards success.
He is a visionary type human. He can forecast the future easily. He knows which
technique will be viable in future for the betterment of business. He has the ability to
predict for how long can a company sustain and what could be a company’s potentiality.

02 BILL GATES
Gates’ most powerful leadership quality is he is so active. He knows very well success
would not come overnight unless and until work hard. But he knew working tirelessly
would bring success for sure. He spent many years by working in his garage,
developing coding and programming, and learning how to create a solution with global
reach. He worked endless hours. Even after Microsoft started gaining success, Bill
Gates worked long days and nights on understanding the target audience and
developing the products that would speak to their business, education and consumer
needs.

The reason of being a successful leader is he is always focused on one

thing which is Software rather than focusing on multiple things. All over his life,
he was stuck with it and worked hard to dominate the market with it.

03 ELON MUSK
Entrepreneurial Spirit

• Embodies commitment, vision, calculated risk-taking and capacity for personal

growth.
• Demonstrates perseverance in the face of adversity and to overcoming
obstacles.
• Has learned from disappointing experiences.
• Relies on trusted individuals while showing ability to be an independent thinker
and take risks in the face of uncertainty.

The reason that we feel Elon Musk is an outstanding example of the entrepreneurial
spirit is his ability to overcoming disappointment. He has had many failures in the
course of his career, ranging from mechanical failures in his Tesla brand to rockets
crashing. SpaceX almost went bankrupt.

What’s remarkable about Musk is that he never lets it stop him from fighting through and
progressing. He views these as experiments that didn’t work out and simply moves on
to the next step.

Positive Energy:
Employees, colleagues, customers, and investors should feel energized being around a
leader. Musk is highly charismatic with a positive outlook and optimism for a better
future. This is inspirational and indubitably it has allowed him to persist through highly
challenging circumstances in his businesses.

04 RATAN TATA
1. He is a visionary. When he joined the group, it was barely doing any business outside
India. Even though many opposed him, he maintained that the company had to go
global. Today half of Tata’s revenues come from overseas. Under his leadership Tata
acquired brands like Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, and Taj Boston.

2. He is known for his humility, and there are countless examples. He started out
working as a blue collar employee for Tata Steel. He personally visited the families of
the 80 employees who were affected because of the 26/11 attacks. He remembers
almost everyone by their first names, and is not dismissive. There are many examples
of how attentive he is, and he is well loved by all who know him.

“A life without excitement, ups and downs is too much boring and dull. You need to be a
storyteller to your grandchildren, why don’t prepare for that from now? We get this life
only once, experience every aspect of it. No one ever have grown without falling once,
fail as many times as you can, then only you can succeed. So quit complaining and start
exploring,” he has said.

05 STEVE JOBS
By now, many of us have read, watched, and listened to many accounts of Steve Jobs’
many contributions can achievements. There is a passion from consumers about Apple
and Steve Jobs that is rare in the corporate world. Not long ago, I walked past an Apple
store in Soho and saw hundreds of Post-It notes and flowers from so many thanking
Steve Jobs. As his biographer Walter Isaacson and others have pointed out, however,
Steve Jobs was far from perfect. I’d like to comment in particular on his leadership and
management style. It is well-known that Steve Jobs could be arrogant, dictatorial, and
mean-spirited. Yet he was a great leader. So does this invalidate the claims of some
management writers and thought leaders today that effective business leaders today
need to be nice, kind, humble (Level 5 leadership), and practice “servant leadership?”
Does this mean that executive leaders should now not worry about being ruthless,
imperial and aloof?

• write a note on effective

interview techniques

The executive engaged in the normal conduct of business devotes much of his time to
interviewing. However, there is an appalling lack of effort given to systematic attempts at
building improvements into this age-old process. Interviewing remains one of those
activities which we think we know all about merely because we have been doing it so
long; we have been lulled by habit. It seems apparent that a modest effort aimed at an
analysis of our interviewing techniques would yield generous returns.

In the broad sense, interviewing is the process whereby individuals (usually two)
exchange information. The individuals may be concerned with a job opening, a
promotion, a special assignment, a product sale, information for intelligence purposes, a
proposed merger, or other questions. The information exchanged need not be limited to
facts. In business, particularly, such products of an interview as meaning and
understanding are oftentimes more significant than objective factual statements.

Interviewing in the contemporary business setting invariably takes place in an

atmosphere filled with a sense of urgency. The time allocated to the interview is
necessarily limited. Consequently, a nondirective approach finds little application; it is
necessary to use the guided interview in the vast majority of situations. This inherent time
constraint sometimes brings about dysfunctional consequences: the interviewer is so
preoccupied with budgeting his time that the content and the purpose of the interview are
vitiated. Hence, we must define what we mean by an effective interview. For the purposes
of this article, an effective interview is one that optimizes the perceived communication
objectives of the individuals involved, with time as the principal constraint. We shall focus
on research findings concerning:

• health management

Before the advent of rapidly-advancing medical technology, doctors didn’t have as much
of a need for healthcare managers. However, the near-continuous development of
medical technology (including changes in healthcare data systems) and regular
changes in laws and regulations surrounding healthcare mean that hospitals and other
medical centers need experts in these areas to ensure everything runs as it should.

Healthcare management is exactly what the name implies. It’s the overall management
of a healthcare facility, such as a clinic or hospital. A healthcare manager is in charge of
ensuring a healthcare facility is running as it should in terms of budget, the goals of the
facility’s practitioners and the needs of the community. A person in charge of healthcare
management oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility.

This individual also acts as a spokesperson when providing information to the media.
The person in charge of healthcare management also collaborates with medical staff
leaders on issues such as medical equipment, department budgets, planning ways to
ensure the facility meets their goals and maintaining a good relationship with doctors,
nurses, and all department heads. The healthcare manager also makes decisions about
performance evaluations, staff expectations, budgeting, social media updates, and
billing.
You might imagine hospital managers when you think of careers in healthcare
management. However, these jobs exist at every level. For people who prefer a smaller
operation, a job as an office manager may be right. Similarly, those with degrees in
healthcare management also have the option of working as home health agency
managers.

These managers have a variety of responsibilities. Like managers in just about every
field, they will handle the scheduling of care workers like nurses and CNAs. They also
will make sure patients receive quality care. In order to do this, they may design patient
care surveys and address any patient complaints that arise..
