Philippine historians regard López Jaena,
along with Marcelo H. del Pilar and José Rizal,
as the triumvirate of Filipino propagandists. Of
these three ilustrados, López Jaena was the
Graciano Lopez Jaena
first to arrive in Spain and may have begun
the Propaganda Movement which advocated
the reform of the then-Spanish colony of the
Philippines and which eventually led to the
armed Philippine Revolution that begun in
Manila in 1896. The Propaganda Movement
was a key step towards a Philippine national
identity.
Martin Genodepa Meet Martin Genodepa, Ilonggo visual artist who
specializes in coral stone sculpture. Not to worry,
environmentalists. Martin, who lives in the southern
coastal town of Guimbal, does not extract corals from
under the sea. Martin acquires coral stone blocks that
have hardened off the shorelines of Guimbal to San
Joaquin to as far as Antique. On that orange wall, a
section of his lovely beach house (Inday Hami just
loves it!) are two examples of his numerous
works. (more…)

Chan first appeared on the local scene as the

host and singer of a television show called 9
Jose Marie Chan Teeners of ABS-CBN 3 (now ABS-CBN 2)
which aired on weekdays and Saturday in
1966. Since he was a junior student at that
time at Ateneo and he was being encouraged
to become a businessman, his father only
consented his involvement if he was not paid
salary for the stint.[5] His first single "Afterglow"
was released in 1967. He would release his
first album two years later.[7] after he was
approached by an independent record
producer.[5]
His first long playing album Deep in My
Heart was issued in 1969. In 1973, he
represented the Philippines in the World
Popular Song Festival in Tokyo where his
song "Can We Just Stop And Talk Awhile"
went into the final entries. For more or less
than four years from 1970-1974, Jose Mari
Chan was able to compose more than 20
songs for movies and earned him different
recognitions and nominations at the Filipino
Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards
(FAMAS Awards). He also wrote several well-
loved commercial jingles among which is

The artist wants to convey is that we should not praise

other things or earthly things but only our God, our
creator. It is somehow not so good to see but he just
wants us to realize what we should had to realize. We
used to always look for good things in the world that can
satisfy ourselves and we give importance for our earthly
doings even sometimes those things set aside our being
human, we turn ourselves into monster just to get that
thing and sometimes we forgot how to be human because
of our greed and hatred. We our selfish enough not to
think about what we need to be or how we use to be
because of our greediness. We must assure to ourselves
that we need to set limits in everything we wanted in life
especially if it is not beneficial to all and can come up in a
bad intentions and bad outcome.
