ethical communication.
2. Summarize the details of the chosen issue or what the whole scenario is about.
3. Discuss the ethics of communication which you think has been violated in the

ethical communication.

In January 2021, an Australian politician, Anthony Albanese,

presented a speech to the National Press Club. Several people
criticized this speech, saying that he stole lines from Michael
Douglas’s character (the U.S. President) in the movie The American
President. Several specific lines from Albanese’s speech did seem to

Liberal Party Federal Director, Brian Loughnane, claimed that this
shows Albanese is “unoriginal and devoid of ideas”. Others stated
that he should be embarrassed and should apologize to the
Parliament.

Communication article is conveying a speech with some stolen lines. Anthony had
been unoriginal with his speech.
 Knowing that ethical communication is the practice of conveying
an honest information in a manner that is not intended to be
misleading, but unfortunately Anthony seems stole some lines
from Michael’s character in the movie which lead him to
somewhat like plagiarism as it is being unoriginal with his thoughts
and devoid of ideas as well. If ever he want to present a speech
that is related to Michael then he should have ask permission to
legally used it and convey it to his audience with the proper
Solution: credited. Plagiarism is a bad habit, actually. Be honest to your
audience, speak with all out with the presence of your heart and
mind. An honest words can help the speaker to express more and
to be able his audience receive a clear information as well.
Identifying the sources if telling same information is a way of the
mind of the listeners can understand much more. Considering
that it is important too to note an excuse for unintentional
plagiarism.

In preparing speech, make sure that it has a proper credits to the

owner as it is given to many listeners so that they can able to
spread it with no less, no more.
