Procedure for Actual Export Capacity test_ 66.2MWp Al Husainiyah
1. Objective
The objective of this document is to establish PV Module Test procedure in accordance with
EPC Schedule 1-Employer’s Requirement
2. Definition of Lot
Definite amount of some product, material or service, collected together
NOTE: An inspection lot may consist of several batches or parts of batches
In order to reduce impact of quality issues on the project planning and optimize quality related
costs, each module should be divided into homogenous lots of products in terms of product family
and production schedule.
The Lot size is determined based on the project size. In this case, Lot size will be determined for
complete project capacity i.e. 66.2MWp, 200,670 modules
Definite amount of samples selected according to ISO 2859 shall be sent to Independent Third Party
Laboratory for Actual Export Capacity test
• This test shall be carried out as part of PV Plant Performance test at Independent Third Party
Laboratory or Accredited Mobile Laboratory
• Contractor recommends Special Inspection Level S-3 as per ISO 2859 for this test
• Agreed Sampling plan shall be applied over entire project capacity
• Samples shall be selected on random basis, ideally not selected earlier

Procedure for Actual Export Capacity test_ 66.2MWp Al Husainiyah
• Actual Export Capacity test shall be done as per EPC Schedule 1-Employer’s requirement
i) Test Procedure:
• Samples according to agreed sampling plan between Employer and Contractor shall be selected
randomly
• Samples mutually agreed and selected shall be sent to independent third party Laboratory or shall be
tested in accredited mobile Laboratory arranged at Site Location for testing
• Maximum power test shall be performed for Actual Export Capacity (AC) calculation on randomly
selected samples by OE
• Independent Third Party Laboratory or Accredited Mobile Laboratory shall be mutually agreed
between the Employer and Contractor
• Measurement uncertainty declared by independent Third party laboratory/accredited Mobile
Laboratory will be valid and same shall be considered for the measurement with respect to nameplate
• Peak Power measurement/Flash test Should be tested in AAA class sun-simulator as per IEC 60904
• Test should be done in flash tester with an irradiance capacity of 1000 W/m2
• The test shall be performed at STC condition. i.e. AM1.5, 1000W/m²
• Flash test will include serial number that identify each of the PV modules, Peak power measurement
at STC, open circuit voltage VOC, voltage at maximum power Vmp, short circuit current ISC, current at
maximum power Imp, Fill Factor FF
• Once test completes Contractor shall review the test data according to following calculation and same
shall be submitted to the Employer
