Course Code: 2201 Credit: 2.00

Exam Hours: 03 Hours

Rationale:
To understand the human interactions in an organization, find what is driving it and influence it
for getting better results in attaining business goals.

Objective:

1. To explain the organizational behavioral challenges in the Bangladeshi work


environment.
2. To illustrate the impact of perception, personality and emotions.
3. To articulate the impact of values, attitudes and the influence of diversity.
4. To explain interpersonal conflict and conflict resolution.
5. To critique the most popular bases of power in organizations.

Course Outcomes (CO):

Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:

1. Understand basic organizational behaviour principles, and analyse how these influence
behaviour in the workplace.
2. Analyse individual human behaviour in the workplace as influenced by personality,
values, perceptions, and motivations.
3. Remember the elements of group behaviour including group dynamics, communication,
leadership, power & politics and conflict & negotiation.
4. Understand your own management style as it relates to influencing and managing
behaviour in the organization systems.
5. Enhance critical thinking and analysis skills through the use of management case studies,
personal application papers and small group exercises.
