A.
1. To be moral is to be human. What does this mean?

To be moral is to be human. This means that any act that is moral makes man/woman become
more of the kind of human being that he/she was intended to be.
2. Why morality only for persons?

Morality is only for persons because only persons are endowed with intellect with which they
can think, reason out and analyze and free will with which they can choose.

3. What do following tell you about the natural law?

The natural law is written in the heart of every man. This is true to all men and women. One
need not be schooled to have a sense of the natural law.

4. Journal Entry
1. Do good; Avoid Evil is the foundational moral principle. List at least 5 goods things
that you have to do as a teacher and 5 evil things you have to avoid.
5 Goods Things
a. Teach the class
b. Tutor the student
c. Attend flag ceremony
d. Check the test paper
e. Grade the student

5 Evil things that you have to avoid

a. Not teaching the class

b. Not tutoring the student
c. Absent in the flag ceremony
d. Leaving the class for the chismiz
e. Nagging the co-teacher
2. It may applied in helping the others to finished a task given by the superior and to be
example in the school like attending regularly in the flag ceremony and monthly
meeting of the teacher.
C. Research on the following:
1. What do the following statement imply about the role of religion in the moral
formation of man?
 If god did not exist, then everything would be permitted.” Dostoyevsky
 There is no doubt that man can organize the world without God, but in the final analysis
he can only organize it against man” Pope Paul VI

They both indicate that religion (as in, a conscience awareness of and response to God)
is necessary for moral action, and moral action is necessary to achieve the social good.
But the second sentence is not actually a very good summary (translation?) of Paul IV. I prefer
this one: "True, man can organize the world apart from God, but 'without God man can organize
it in the end only to man's detriment. An isolated humanism is an inhuman humanism.'"

The essence of the idea is that man is made in the image and likeness of God, so without a
recognition of the attributes of God (love, truth, relational), we cannot know what man is. And if
we don't know what man is, how could we possibly design a system for his / her flourishing.

2.How does conscience relate to morality

The conscience inborn, natural ability to detect what is right and wrong. It is literally,
how we become "conscious" of the morality of our actions. We feel bad when we do something
wrong. Conscience doesn't make things good or bad, but merely detects when we've chosen
evil.

3. Are man-made laws part of the natural law? What about your Professional Code of Ethics?

Professional Code of Ethic are made for guiding the professional. It is the bible of all
professional. If the professional group are not have professional code of ethic they will not
behave equally they will become rowdy and unlawful to their co-engineer or co-teacher. For
example engineer if they have a code of ethic they will respect each other and they are not get
the project if the engineer proposed it to the owner. They cannot down their professional fee to
get a project. The professional code of ethics is made to have a harmonious group and with
respect to each other.

4.Do laws limit our freedom?

No, the law is not limiting our freedom it gives guidelines not to abuse it. Laws were
created to control society’s acts of immorality, not humane and even distracting our
environment, but not to limit freedom. The definition above is making sense that freedom is not
about to have all we want, but to experience equity in life. Laws are certainly a means that
adheres to giving order or to protect all forms of life. It has been set so that all forms of life will
be given a chance to live in a world harmoniously, be connected and give equity. It was actually
supported with facts that have gone certain observations that are beneficial to all, not to a
certain individual or group, and is based on what is moral. For instance, the law of giving
punishment to criminals. If criminals will not be punished to their immoral acts, our world will
no longer be free from distress. They will continue doing crimes and will eventually create chaos
among men, and because of that man can no longer experience true freedom. Because there is
law punishing the criminals, crimes are minimized and people in the society will be protected
and people will be given fair action based on what they have done in the society.
(ojelynlahay2.blogspot.com/2013/01/do-laws-limit-our-freedom-reflection-6.html)
5. What is meant by the statement “ the Sabbath is made for man and not man for the
Sabbath.”

God create the universe, man and all things in 6 days at after that he rest. That why we
go to church to praise God and give thanks him that he given to us in the whole week and take
rest after we go to church. We need to recharge after 6 days of work and give time to our family.
God does not give commandments arbitrarily; but He gives commandments for the benefit of
those to whom they are given.

1. Read the following and in the context of value formation write down your response /
action plan to each as a proof that you accept continuing personal value formation.
 Take care of your thoughts, they become you actions; take your of actions, they become
you habit; take care of your habits, they become your character; take care of your
character, it becomes your destiny.
In this, as a teacher you are responsible in your student because the student they only believe in
you and you are they mentor what they see in you and they get in you. The teacher is the
second parent of the student they very high expectation to us and they very fragile if you scare
them they will not close to you sometime this is cause of not continuing study. In their eyes you
will become the not the good man or not suitable in teaching.

 “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul. ”
As a teacher it is not right to become a rich if the money come from the selling the drugs. In
perfective of being a teacher he can give his all to teach the student even if he/she teach in very
far school. He/she invest more money even if her salary just meet the standard or exceed the
expectation of the student that he/she deliver more than the others. The profit of the teacher is
student graduated every year.

 Store up treasures in heaven neither mother decay destroy, nor thieves break in and
steal. For where, your treasure is, there also will your heart be”(Mathew 7:20)
Teacher devotion is teaching. The salary of teacher is not enough to support all he needs but
her dedication to devotion to the teach he/she can do anything even if the salary is not enough
just to teach the student.
 Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.” Albert
Einstein
The successful teacher is not scaled by a degree it is scale by how he/she devote herself to tech.
he/she are nothing if he/she not doing her devotion to teach or task. The teacher have a high
expectation from the community that he/she can anything to give her best to teach and the
gained more knowledge from us.

 It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
The little prince by Antoine Exuper
The love of teacher cannot be seen by eyes but by heart of the student. The teacher is very
loved of the student if set a standard. Showing how you care and love them by attending their
classes even if there school is very far. Show them your dedication to teach them and how you
try to give them a knowledge from lesson you prepared.

 Di bale mahirap, basta’t may dangal

In teaching in the public school you can have many sacrifices like small salary just enough to buy
a necessary needs. The teacher is only have dangal they can everything just bring the
knowledge to the student even if the salary is not enough.

2. It is observed that beginning teacher somewhat lack of emotional stability? What are
some of its causes? What should you do to counteract it? Write your answer in your
journal?
The value formation as teacher will necessarily include the three dimensions. You have to grow
in knowledge and in wisdom and in your “sensitivity and openness to the variety of value
experiences in life.”(Aquino, 1990) You have to be open to and attentive in you value lessons in
Ethic and for those in sectarian schools, Ethics and Religious Education. Interactive part in value
sessions like fellowship, recollections organized by our church group or associations. Since
values are also caught, help yourself by reading the biographies of heroes, great teachers and
saints and other inspirational books. Your lessons in history, religion and literature are replete
with opportunities for inspiring ideals. Associate with model teachers. If possible, avoid the
“yeast” of those who will not exert a very good influence. Take the sound advice from
Desiderata: “Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.” Join
community immersions where you can be exposed to people from various walks of life. These
will broaden your horizon, increase you tolerance level, and sensitize you to life values. These
will help you to “fly high” and “see far” to borrow the words of Richard Bach in his book,
Jonathan Livingstone Seagull.

Lesson 1- make Reflection (2)
1. Based on you matrix of the various education systems of countries, how would you
compare out Philippine education system? In what aspect are we similar with other
countries? Is our education system globally competitive?
The education systems of example countries are basic education is 12 years at higher education
4 to 5 year are very the same as today in the Philippines Education system. In the Philippines are
the latest who are implementing the 12 years of basic education system like K-12 program. In k-
12 program is start grade 1-6 in elementary level and 7-Grade 12 in High School. In K12 the
student can select what track he will get if he wish to continue college if not he can work after
he graduated high school because of the technical skills that he has earned. In the statue of the
education in the country I will said it is globally competitive because of the K-12 program of the
government. In my own opinion the K12 program are based on Australian Education System.

2. If given an opportunity to experience teaching in another country listed above, where

would you like to teach? Why?
In Australia, because the primary to the secondary levels, most students are enrolled in
government schools which operate under the direct responsibility of the State or territory
Education Minister. The federal government provides supplementary financial support. If the
government of Australia has the financial support to the student, it will likewise the teacher
who teaches in the government school has big salaries and financial support too.

Student Questions
Ask permission from the teacher to interview one student from the class. Ask
questions such as the following:
1. Do you like using technology?
Yes.
2. What do you like to do most with the help of technology?

Visual Aide

3. What kinds of technology would like to have in the class that you do not have now?
Computers, LCD Projector or 42” LED TV

4. Does the technology make your learn? In what ways?

Yes, by surfing the internet and it is a big help in research. Because of the visual aide the
student can easily understand the subject that we tackle because of the internet.

Make a Reflection
Based on your observations an interview make reflection on the following:
a. The level of technology used in the classroom

The level of technology used in the classroom are high tech.

b. The learning outcomes derived from the technology use

The outcome derive from the technology use the student can simulate the
network scenario using the cisco packet tracer because the school cannot afford to buy a
real cisco router and device for networking. The one requirement in IT industry the
newly graduate of the IT, can configure a simple network using the real cisco router
because the technology we use the student adapt easily in the real world or rela
configuration of the router..

c. Your suggestions if you are the one teaching with the use of technology
The school administration can support the teacher in using technology in
teaching by supporting or given apparatus like laptop, lcd projector and internet
connection in every classroom. It will give more boost to the student and teacher
because they can easily see or figure it out the materials in their subject because of the
help of the internet. They can get the picture using the net.

d. Your overall reflections on technology and innovative teaching.

Technology is very help in teaching like in my subject Computer Networking in this
subject we need cisco router and some like apparatus because it is very expensive we use
simulation in laboratory. We use the cisco packet tracer in using this the student can
configure the cisco router without the physical cisco router. It give ease in teaching and the
student can easily adapt it in real world.

A. Why is one’s philosophy of education said to be one’s window to the world or

“compass” in life?
It is important that we make explicit our philosophy of education .Our philosophy of
education is our “window” to the world and “compass” in life. Our philosophy is our own
thought and formulation. For me as a future educator my philosophy being a teacher to be a
responsible to teach because it is one of the characteristic of the teacher to be a responsible to
teach the students on how they learn the lesson. If you are responsible teacher you need to
different strategy and techniques on how they acquired knowledge inside the classroom
because every individual have a different learning style that’s why don’t focus in one strategy.
And then the teachers need to bring a lot of information before you faced the student to teach.
For you to know when the lesson is effective .And then the teacher need to provide different
plan it encase when the lesson is not effective to the student.

B. Describe how school and community officials work together In each of the following
events:
 Socio-cultural activities
Students also develop skills specific to their career path and imperative for future job
success. Students have opportunities to improve their leadership and interpersonal skills while
also increasing their self-confidence. Extracurricular involvement allows students to link
academic knowledge with practical experience, thereby leading to a better understanding of
their own abilities, talents, and career goals. Future employers seek individuals with these
increased skill levels, making these involved students more viable in the job market. Specifically,
participation in extracurricular activities and leadership roles in these activities are positively
linked to attainment of one's first job and to managerial potential.

 Peace and order situation in school/outside the school

Peace and order, safety in public conveyances and compliance with ordinances afford
ample protection and disciplinary measure deserve by all. The school can request to the
community or police force to take care the peace and order in the school and assured the peace
and order outside the school by police visibility in the school and the community. If the police is
visible in the community the parent has the peace of mind that his/her children are safe going
home after school. If the community known in rampant of violence, the parent cannot bring the
student in the school because they are afraid in the safety of the students after school. If the
school and community can work together in peace and order inside and outside of school they
can safeguard the safety of all student and the community.

 Projects
Schools have organized PTA and Community Association with the officers coming from
both their members. They undertake project and activities aimed at promoting a harmonious
and enjoyable relationship among themselves. Regular meeting are conducted to discuss
activities that are intended to improve/assist conditions prevailing in both. A strong spirit of
cooperation is exhibited as well ass sharing of expertise and material resources. Representations
during town or schools affairs create strong ties among the members, thus helping hands are
volunteered in times of needs. Example: Brigada Eskwela before the opening of the school
classes.

C. Name at least five characteristics of a Multi-Cultural classroom what are some

guidelines for a teacher who handles children with diverse background.
 Students bred in families with different socio-economic backgrounds may exhibit
characteristic that are different from the rest.
 Disciplinary measures practiced in different homes may cause unfavorable consequences
as they relate with one another
 With varied abilities they may greatly differ in expressing self-control, patience and
temper when challenged.
 Some may have special interest that must be attended to
 Other may have problems that would need immediate solution.
 Their relationship with one another can bring about either positive or negative
interactions as they study and work together, hence it would be best that they know
each other well for a mannerful climate in the classroom.

D. What are the purpose of the Teacher Exchange Program

- As a perspective Filipino teacher, what benefits will you derive from these programs?
It can give new techniques of teaching and knowledge gain outside the Philippine
culture. It give more boost and moral to share the knowledge gain in the TEP and share it to the
community.

- How will the teacher exchange programs develop you as a global teacher?
I developed my ability to mentor students and staff and develop a more consultative
leadership style in my school.
