CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION TO THE HOUSEKEEPING ORGANIZATION
TOPIC: HOTEL BACKGROUND AND HOUSEKEEPING ORGANIZATIONAL CHART
A. INSTRUCTION:
1. Assignment must be completed in A4 size report writing.
2. Each student is required to submit an individual report of the topic given.
3. Mode: Individual
4. Date of Submission: 20th July 2021 (Tuesday). There will be penalty for late
submission.
5. Report must be more than 8 pages and less than 15 pages.
** If you have any difficulties in submitting the assignment according to the date given,
please come and discuss with me.
B. QUESTION:
1. You are required to choose ONE (1) hotel (4 or 5 star hotel) in Malaysia and briefly answer the
following questions:
I. Introduction
a. The hotel background, types of rooms available, facilities and amenities available (5
related pictures)
II. Body
a. The organization chart of the housekeeping department. (not necessary hotel’s
organizational chart)
b. Explain job responsibilities of each personnel in the housekeeping department.
c. Feedback from Internet review about housekeeping issue in that particular hotel
(Tripadvisor, Trivago, Booking.com, Agoda.com, others)

d. Provide solutions for each of the issues
