COMPUTER MODEL
It is assumed that the model is checked for dimensions, elevations, member
group and section properties in the IN-SERVICE/LIFT analysis and is
upgraded to suit the current analysis.
LDOPT, OPTIONS, UCPART in the input file
1 Member group properties for loadout supports: E, G and Density
2 Member end releases for loadout supports
3 Member end offsets for loadout supports
4 Member properties: Kx, Ky, Lx, Ly for changed support conditions
5 Support conditions for loadout supports
6 Adequate springs are provided for trailer loadout based on subgrade reaction
LOADS
It is assumed that the load calculations are verified in the in-service
analysis and relevant load cases only are picked for the current analysis.
7 Remove future loads, operating weights and live loads; add rigging loads
8 Load contingencies
9 Load description for support settlement as per BoD
10 Load description for loss of support as per BoD
11 Application of lateral loads for trailer loadout condition as per BoD
(As a minimum 5% of gross weight applied as lateral loads at top of module )
12 Calculation/application of pull loads (skidded loadout)
13 Calculation for subgrade modulus reaction in trailer loadout
14 Load combinations
(a) gross weight + support settlement + pull loads for skidded loadout
(b) gross weight + loss of support + pull loads for skidded loadout
(c) gross weight + transverse loads for trailer loadout
ANALYSIS RESULTS
15 Enclose sea-state summary
16 Enclose member check report: review overstressed members
17 Enclose joint check summary: review overstressed joints
(check Fy = 2/3Fu for CHORDS of high strength members)
18 Enclose support reactions (For loss of support, zero reaction)
19 Enclose model plots: Joint/Group/Section names, Kx, Ky, Lx, Ly,Fy, UCR, defl.
20 Weight control report extract enclosed for weight comparison
MISCELLANEOUS (optional)
21 Adequacy of skid shoes and skid track for loadout reactions
22 Select trailer configuration based on loadout reactions
23 Design loadout support members/connections if different from
skid shoes/skid track
Note : CHECKER TO TICK MARK (√) AGAINST EACH ITEM
1 This check list forms part of self-check on the document before the same is passed for internal discipline check.
2 This check list should be submitted with first two revisions of the document (at Single Discipline Check and issued for
Client comments stages).
3 If the checker has any specific comments, the same shall be marked on the hard copy of the report/document.
