Pixel Art Assessment

Use the rubric on the back of this sheet to help guide you in completing this assignment:

You will create a piece of pixel art on a sheet of graph paper. Follow the directions below and the rubric on
the back to complete this assignment.

1. Outline a box on your graph paper—make sure to leave some room on the right side to write the
numbers
a. Your image will be created inside this box
b. Make the box large enough to show the image well, but no bigger than it needs to be
2. Create your image in the box by shading in pixels
a. You may want to lightly sketch the image in pencil and then fill in pixels over your sketch
b. You may want to add a light dot to each pixel and then color them in when your image is how
you want it
c. You may also search online for an image to recreate
3. Record numbers to represent your image to the right side of your image
a. You should have numbers for each row of pixels
b. This is like what we’ve done in class the past two days
4. Write your name and period on top of the page

Note: This paper must be turned in to Mr. Hanson when you turn in your final draft
