ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN ENGLISH

SY: 2017-2018

I. Introduction

The English language plays a vital role for interstate communication. It is the primary language of
medicine, engineering, business, science, and education among others. Therefore working knowledge of
the language is a requirement to be globally competitive.
Proficiency in English is an edge. For it gives you power to express, to be heard, to persuade, and
to make a difference.
The school is the main provider of the knowledge and skills of the language. The government and
the community in totality rely and expect so much from educational institution to provide the studentry
with the appropriate and sufficient ability on the language.
With these obligations placed on teachers in particular, the curriculum must meet the recurring
needs of the learners: activities, trainings, guidance, and instruction must develop, train, and build citizen
that possesses a working knowledge of the language.
The language teachers must provide students’ knowledge on speaking, writing, listening, viewing,
and reading. The approach must be holistic; for one cannot learn one area and disregard the other.
Therefore, classrooms must generate activities that involve the trainings and development of the
five macro skills of the learners’. Students must have a real life experience and participation to soak up
what is needed to achieve.
However, the four corners of the classroom are not enough avenues for the total development of
the students. Other activities must be provided to supplement classroom lectures and activities.
With these, Binagbag National High School (BNHS) English Teacher organized a number of
activities to complement classroom lecture; as well as takes different measures to tap students with
different needs, interests, and likes.
The undertakings the teacher carried out for the school year are tutorials to academically
