ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This brochure was prepared based on official

documents provided by Environment and

technology developer.
ITDI-DOST BIOREACTOR COMPOSTING
TECHNOLOGY

The ITDI-DOST bioreactor composting technology was

developed as an alternative technology for management of
municipal solid waste, specifically for the organic fraction of
solid waste. The stirred-tank bioreactor has feeding capacities
of 500 kg per day and 1,000 kg per day.

The 1 ton/day capacity stirred-tank bioreactor at Sta. Cruz, Laguna

Advantages of the bioreactor composting technology:

 simple and easy to operate

 no leachate discharge
 acceptable odor emission
 fast rate composting
 low inoculant requirement
 smaller land area requirement
