This question paper is divided into 3 segments. The first 2 segments are
compulsory for all. Select you Specialization and answer the question in the
third segment.

Group- A (20 marks)

These are MCQ questions. 4 options will be given. In this paper we are not
giving the options, answer objectively with no description.

2. Construct a short story with 2 characters who are trapped in a


deserted island. (20 marks)
Cinematography

1. Analyse the photographs in terms of Composition, Lighting, Meaning


and Emotion. Also what is the common theme that you can find in
both the photographs. (25 marks)

2. Answer the questions- (5*5=25)

(a) State Snell’s Law.

(b) A beam of light passes from air to a substance X. If angle of incidence is 45


degrees and angle of refraction is 30 degrees, calculate the refractive index of
substance X. Given sin 30o = ½ ; sin 45 o = 1/rot2

(c) A convex lens forms a real and inverted image of a needle at a distance of
50 cm from it. Where is the needle placed if the size of the image is equal to
the size of the object ? Calculate the power and focal length of the lens.
(d) An object is placed at a distance of 60 cm from a convex mirror the
magnification produced is 1/2 . Where should the object be placed to get a
magnification of 1/3 ?

(e) A small electric lamp is placed at the focus of a convex lens. State the
nature of beam of light produced by the lens. Draw a diagram to show this.

2. Build a narrative in 10-15 shots from this image. Take this image as one
of the shots and arrange your narrative as you like. (20 marks)

1. Write brief notes on the following- (30 marks)

b. Naseeruddin Shah’s style of Acting
c. The 100 crore club in Hindi Cinema
2. Take any role of your choice from any Hindi film and point out what you
would have done differently from the actor who has played the role. (10
marks)
3. Take any contemporary Indian actor and compare his acting style with
actors of the same genre. (10 marks)
