Writing Paper PROPOSAL

Your answer for the Proposal should be more concerned about the possibilities of
what may happen. Therefore, the majority of your writing should be concentrated
on Future Recommendations.

The plan gives you a solid structure to work from, so that you can concentrate on
making your English writing look natural and impressive without constantly
worrying about where you are in the answer.

CAE PROPOSAL ESSENTIALS

1. Remember to ANSWER THE QUESTION that you were asked (see video

about answering the question)
2. Use a clear and simple layout with headings for each section
3. Write in a formal and impersonal style
4. Use bullet points if writing out long sentences will be too long for the word
count
5. Total word count should be 220 - 260 words (Don't write too few or too many
words)
6. Start the proposal with a clear sentence that states the purpose/aim
7. Finish your answer with a final sentence that is a summary of your opinion
(based on what you have previously written)
