Two major reputable articles outline the nursing implication of both Ebola and Cholera.

First, the article, centers for disease control and prevention enables one to understand the impact

of the Ebola virus (Centers for disease control and prevention, 2019). The article points out that

the viruses that cause the strain are found in Sub-Saharan Africa. The virus that leads to the

disease is known as the EVD virus, according to the article. There are various ways in which

people and animals can contract the EVD virus. One way a person can contract the strain is

through direct contact with an infected animal. The centers for disease control article also gives

insights into the significant facts regarding cholera. The disease is caused by a bacterium that is

known as Vibrio cholerae. It is a common strain in most developing countries in the world.

However, it is an uncommon strain in the United States and various other developed nations. The

disease control centers mark the virus's impact across the world using Global water, sanitation,

and Hygiene. Various areas have high cholera rates, and as such, people should look forward to

preventing themselves (Prevention, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2017).

In conclusion, as a nursing student, there are aspects that I ought to consider as far as the

implication of both strains is concerned. For instance, when dealing with patients of Ebola, I

should, at all times, consider the relevant safety measures. This will go to the extent of

preventing me from contracting the virus. I ought to also be careful with areas that are prone to

the virus. As a nurse, I will also consider advising patients or the public to be careful around bats

and non-human primates as they might pose great risks. Preventive measures are often better

than cure. The other factor that I learned from the website, as well as my nursing career, is

concerned is the incidence of cholera. Even though cholera is not a common strain in most

developing countries, some conditions might welcome it. Thereby, I will be better positioned to

encourage people always to maintain the highest Hygiene level. As such, prevention is critical as

far as the impact of the disease is concerned.
