Experimental setup:
Procedure:
1. Attach a thicker beam between the trunion bracket and the spring as shown in fig. mount
the exciter assembly over it.
2. Adjust the position of the beam in such a way that the beam remains in the horizontal
position (approximately) using the spring supporting screw.
3. Set the system vibrating by a gentle jerk and record the time required for 10 oscillations
by using the paper recorder.

Apparatus Required:
Trunnion bearings, beams, weights.
Procedure:
1. The exiter is connected to D.C. variable speed motor.
2. Start the motor and allow the system to vibrate.
3. Wait for some time for the amplitude to build for particular forcing frequency.
4. Adjust the position of strip chart recorder.
5. Take the record of amplitude Vs time on strip chart by starting the recording
motor.
6. Take record by changing forcing frequencies.
