In a blend, two or more consonants

are put together. Each letter in a blend
makes its own sound.
Directions

1. Begin by sounding out each consonant, and then make blends.

2. Ask the learner to read and follow just what you did.
3. Reading words with beginning or ending consonant blends.
4. Student’s independent reading.
