1. Learn about history of volleyball by WWLP-22News

 In watching the video, it talks about the history of volleyball


by WWLP-News. According to an executive director named
George Murly that this sports known and played all over and
he mentioned that the inventor of volleyball is William G.
Morgan, he was born in buffalo, New York. The volleyball
came from the ball of basketball and the net of tennis.

 The six ways to practice volleyball at home is a simple way


to strengthen your arms or skills in playing without a team.
The first thing that you can do is just get touches or basic
arm touches, second play with a wall, third defense with a
wall, fourth no net serve receive, fifth go through footwork
and lastly serve to a target.

3. The Rules of Volleyball-EXPLAINED

 The rules of volleyball are each time consist of 6 players and


6 substitutes. There are the Setter, Libero, Setter, Left Side
Hitter, Middle Hitter and Right Side Hitter. The team can hit
the ball up to three times before the ball must be returned.
The players are not allowed to carry, palm or run with the ball
and the player should not touch the net with any parts of the
body. The game played up to 25 points and must be won by
two clear points.

and the knee pad. The basic kit is made up of socks, shorts
and t-shirt/jersey. The shoes must be good in cushioning to

and dives undertaken to recover the ball.

 The common terms in volleyball, first is Ace which is a serve


the opponent failed to receive. Assist any set ball that results
in a kill and attack. Attack any attempt by the offense to
score a point against the defense. The cut shot is an attack
with extreme angle. Dig is a defense contact after opponents
attack. Double is a fault in which the players contact the ball
within two body parts consecutively. Dump is a surprise
attack by front row setter to catch the defense off guard. The
free ball is a ball that is passed over the net because the
attack wasn’t possible. Joust when the two players try to
push the ball into the other side kill a successful, legal, points
scoring play. This common terms help us to understand the
different terms in volleyball.

 Mr. Koko explained the different meaning of ABC’s. For
example A stands for Ace, B is Block, C is Coverage, D is
Dig and E is Error. This letters is created because to easily
familiarize the different types of skills and they will not be
immediately forgotten and will always be remembered when
they play volleyball.

Women 18x9m. The calculation of diagonal
distance: Pythagoras theorem is 20.124m and
the half court diagonal distance calculation is
12.727m. He show the marking plan of a court
which is the center line and the attack line. In
volleyball there is a front zone and back zone
were as the players stand of. End line has a 9m
and where is the player serve in the inside of the
court during the game time.

 We are now in difficulties which we face a COVID-19


pandemic and we should always care our health and follow
the protocols that being implemented. This home volleyball
skills training is our practice of workout and we can make it
our daily routine. Since we can only work at home, we
cannot play outside with friends but we can simply play with
our siblings/family even without net. This skills help us out
strengthen our arms and body in order us to have workout.
