    A. doctor-patient dialogue
    (at the doctor’s office a woman sitting and waiting for the doctor)
    Doctor: good morning ma’am, by any chance; are you the wife of Mr. Kim whom we received in
    emergency after passing out earlier?
    (The woman responds yes to his question)
    Doctor: so, since he is unconscious, I will ask you some questions on his behalf. So, Mrs. Kim,
    how did this problem come to happen suddenly?

    Mrs. Kim: actually, he was getting around in the garden at home when he suddenly fell down.

    Doctor: since when did he come down with this problem?

    Mrs. Kim: it started around two weeks age. He used to throw up at the beginning whenever he
    ate sweet things.

    Doctor: please carry on, anything else?

    Mrs. Kim: he also had a problem sitting up and turning down his head in the last three days.

    Doctor: then, why didn’t you look at the possibility of coming early?

    Mrs. Kim (sadly): he kept ignoring me whenever I brought it up saying he was fed up. He
    doesn’t like being hospitalized at all.

    Doctor: it’s okay, calm down and don’t worry, I do understand you and he will be ok after some
    time. We carried out the CT scan of his brain and it seemed to be okay. He only needs to rest
    and get enough sleep.

    Mrs. Kim: I am relieved.

    Doctor (after receiving a phone message): the nurse told me that Mr. Kim did come around.
    You should now fill out this form and ask me for a help if you come across something you don’t
    understand.

    Mrs. Kim (returning papers to the doctor): I am done.


    Doctor: Now I have prescribed some drugs to your husband. They will bring down his
    symptoms and he will be back on his foot in no time. Make him rest up as I told you and in case
    the symptoms keep going along, please contact me.

    Mrs. Kim: thank you very much Doctor. Have a good day.
