Se usa en tres casos


• Se usa “will” con acciones voluntarias:
Will you help me move? (¿Me ayudarás a mudarme?)
They will clean their rooms. (Limpiarán sus habitaciones.)
She won’t work with Paul. (No trabajará con Paul.)

❖ Se utiliza “will” para expresar una promesa:


She will help you tomorrow. (Ella te va a ayudar mañana.)
I will love you forever. (Te voy a amar para siempre.)

❖ Se utiliza “will” para hacer predicciones:


I believe she will be a great mother. (Creo que ella será una buena mamá.)
He thinks he will win the race. (Él piensa que va a ganar la carrera.)

Estructura del future “will”


+ Para el afirmativo

– Para el negativo

? Para el interrogativo

Se usa en tres casos
❖ Se usa “going to” para planes, se indica la intención de hacer algo
We are going to have a party tonight. (Vamos a dar una fiesta esta noche.)
Richard is going to take an English class. (Richard va a realizar un clase de inglés.)
Are they going to play football later? (¿Van a jugar a fútbol luego?)

❖ Se puede usar “will” o “going to” para hacer predicciones. Cuando hay evidencia de que algo va a
pasar usamos “going to”.
It is going to be a great party. (Será una fiesta genial.)
It is not going to rain. (No va a llover.)

Estructura del futuro (going to)


+ Para el afirmativo
Subject verb be (am-is-are) going to main verb complement
Henry is going to play football.
Henry va a jugar fútbol.

+ Para el negativo
Subject verbo be (am-is-are) not going to main verb complement
Henry is not going to play football.
Henry no va a jugar fútbol.

+ Para el interrogativo
