WRITING
Hello, my name is Adriana Chacón but everybody calls me Nany or Nanyta. I´ve always
think the internet can change our life and overstep borders. Since I was a child I wished
to know another people and countries, but I didn´t have money; however, it wasn´t an
impediment to manage to my objective. The internet has been a tool very important in
this process, it has let me meet with different people around the world, talk with
children, teenagers, adults, old people and know cultures that I never have been heard in
my live. I going to talk a little about my life, let me tell you.
I´m 67 years old and I live in Pelileo joint to my uncle, who everybody calls bolita, he
takes care of me because I have a disability. I can´t move my legs and arms, so I have to
use a wheelchair to do anything, but my condition hasn´t been a reason to give me up.
I have always been a proactive person and nowadays, I´m working as English teacher. I
have my own English school, also I´m family counselor, teacher of English connect
program, accountant and missionary of my church. One of the things that I really enjoy
is learn, so I´m studying in BYU University by internet now.
Many people know me in Pelileo, they say me “Nany, you really inspire me”. I
consider that they say this because I have never given up and I always find the way to
manage to my objectives. Also, they admire my desire of keep in progress and the
optimist attitude that I confront the life.
Finally, I´ve always try to let a positive message to the people and understand that there
is time to everything, there is time to cry, there is time to laugh and there is time to be
grateful for our blessings. And if you have a good attitude the problems weigh less, so
don´t give up and make your best effort.
