Mr. Evans: Good morning. My name is Mrs. Evans. I am the teacher. What’s your name?
Carlos: Hello, Mrs. Evans. My name is Carlos Hernandez. Please call me Carlos.
Mr. Evans: Hi, Carlos, This is our classroom.
Carlos: OK.

Conversation 2
Mr. Edwards: Good afternoon.
Jason Scott: Good afternoon, sir. How are you?
Mr. Edwards: Fine, thanks. And you?
Jason Scott: I’m fine, Thanks.

Conversation 3
Amy: Hello. Are you a new student?
Lynn: Yes. I’m Lynn. What’s your name?
Amy: Hi. My name is Amy.
Lynn: Hi Amy. Oh, it’s 7:30. See you later.
Amy: OK. Goodbye.

Grammar: Imperative Sentences
Look at the chart:

Imperative verb + noun


An imperative verb uses the simple form of the verb at the beginning
of a sentence to give orders, advice and directions.
Close your books.
Write the word.
Use don’t to make a negative imperative verb
Don’t close your books.
Imperative sentences are also called commands.
