1 Machine house

1.1 Rigging
The E-126 and E-138 machine house (Fig. 1: Machine house access) has an access at
the front of the tarpaulin, which provides access to the inside of the component. The round
slings are lowered into the machine house through a hatch in the roof. To access the
machine house and to open and close the roof hatch, a three-step or four-step stepladder
or a conventional folding ladder (Fig. 2: Machine house roof hatch) is required.

Fig. 1: Machine house access Fig. 2: Machine house roof hatch

Fig. 3: Folding ladder Fig. 4: Positioning the stepladder

The machine house is attached at three points (Fig. 3: Folding ladder). The resulting three
legs are combined in a shackle in the area of the roof hatch. This shackle has another
round sling which can be attached to the crane hook.
Before rigging the machine house, the bolts of the swivel hoist rings on the main carrier
are checked for a tight fit.

1.2 Cargo securement

The machine house is transported with the rear in direction of travel. In addition to the
cargo securement described below, sufficient anti-slip mats with a friction coefficient
μ ≥ 0.6 are placed between the machine house and the truck. For this purpose,
if necessary, the film is slightly cut at the contact points for welded-in machine houses,
in order to ensure contact between the transport frame and the truck.

1. 2x lashing accessory LC ≥ 10,000 daN

2. Optional: 2x 12 t shackle if the lashing lug does not fit into the lashing points

2 Rotor side parts

2.1 Rigging
Each rotor side part has a lifting point at the top, which can be reached by a hook and loop
fastener in the film. To lift the component, the following lifting tackle is required:
1. 1x shackle 12 t
2. 1x round sling 15 t

2.2 Cargo securement

Cargo securement is performed from two sides of the transport frame. In addition to the
aforementioned cargo securing materials, sufficient anti-slip mats are laid down.

3.2 Cargo securement

For cargo securement of the rotor centre section, the two lashing points at the fronts of the
transport frame are used:

1. 4x lashing accessory LC ≥ 10,000 daN: Diagonal lashing straps crosswise

4 Stator halves

4.1 Rigging
Both stator halves are equipped with a lifting point each at the top of the two fronts.
When lifting, make sure that only the inner lifting points are used (Fig.).

4.2 Cargo securement

Both stator halves are equipped with a lashing point on the top of the two fronts
(Fig. 19: Cargo securement of stator halves), and the maximum lashing angle of 30° is
not undershot (Fig. 18: Lashing angle).

Fig. 18: Lashing angle

In addition to a sufficient number of anti-slip mats with a friction coefficient μ ≥ 0.6,
the following lifting tackles are used.

1. 4x lashing accessory LC ≥ 10,000 daN: Diagonal lashing straps crosswise

5 Hub

5.1 Rigging
The three blade adapters of the hub are each equipped with a lifting point in the top area.
Each lifting point is attached to a round sling via a shackle (Fig. 20: Lifting the hub).
For this purpose, the following material is required:

1. 3x shackle 25 t
2. 3x round sling 25 t, ≥ 6 m

5.2 Cargo securement

For road transport, the lashing points at the fronts of the transport frame are to be used
for cargo securement of the hub, as well as the two lashing points at the blade flanges
(Fig. 21: Hub cargo securement). In addition to a sufficient number of anti-slip mats with a
friction coefficient μ ≥ 0.6, the following lifting tackles are used.

1. 8x lashing accessory LC ≥ 10,000 daN: Diagonal lashing straps crosswise

2. 4x 12 t shackle if the lashing lug does not fit into the lashing point

During transport on public roads, the shackles are dismantled at the lifting points so that
the maximum transport width is not exceeded.

6.2 Storage
When setting down the rotor blades (Fig. 24: Flange frame shims and Fig. 25: Tip frame
shims), for example in storage areas or on the ship’s deck, scantlings (1) are placed below
the frames, so that the rotor blades or the bottom part of the blade skirt do not touch the
ground.

6.3 Cargo securement

The flange frame and the tip frame have several lashing points. If the trailer has a twistlock
mechanism (Fig. 26: Securing point for twistlock), this can also be used.

6.3.1 Flange frame

If a twistlock mechanism is used during transport, no anti-slip mats are used on the flange
frame. If no locking systems are used, the following material, with sufficient anti-slip mats
(μ≥0.6), should be used:

1. 4x lashing accessory LC ≥ 2,500 daN: Diagonal lashing straps crosswise and

longitudinally (Fig. 28: Securing in transverse direction)

Depending on the condition of the trailer, wood is placed under the tip frame to prevent
contact between the blade skirt and the entire rotor blade. The wood is arranged so that
there is no danger of tipping over. In addition, anti-slip mats are placed between the pieces
of wood.
