current extinction event is the sixth of
its kind to occur in the Earth’s history
and is primarily caused by human over-

While the event might seem a slow and
gradual process, reports from The
Science Mag show that the current
extinction event is occurring at a much
faster rate than all five previous mass
extinction events.

form of early warning systems has
made mass extinctions noticeable to

6. Dinosaurs had adaptations which
helped make them successful. The first
known dinosaurs were small predators
that walked on two legs. All their
descendants had an upright posture,
with the legs underneath the body. This
transformed their whole life-style. There

metabolism than modern reptiles.

galaxy, astronomers have to evaluate
the mass of the galaxy. This can be
done by observing the galaxy's rotation

such a calculation is a spectral
analysis, conducted with the use of a
spectroscope. Over the last 30 years,
there have been other models used to
calculate the number of stars in the
Milky Way, varying from the
mathematical to the quantum. ----
Among the most common views stands
the lower bound in the calculations,

billion stars. Conversely, the upper
bounds of such forecasts claim 400
billion stars lie in the Milky Way galaxy
in which our own solar system is
located.

will help create greener cities, towns,
and villages and slow down global
warming.

The sector was left on its knees in the
aftermath of the hurricane with the
effects having a ripple effect across a
broad spectrum ranging from the
normal car rentals to cruise ships.
