 Introduction, Engagement 1 and Explore 1

Activity: “Think , Pair and Share”


Description of the Activity: The facilitator will group the students into
three (3) groups. The facilitator will give each group an envelope
containing the instruction of the activities. The group one (1) will be ask to
write all the behavioral traits of an effective and motivative teacher in the
classroom that can be found the letter. The group two (2) will be ask to
recall and present life experiencecs wherein because of a classmates they
were motivated and afraid to come to to school. The group three (3) will
be ask to list down traits of a supportive and not supportive parents in their
learning career. The answer of group 1 can be found in the pop sheets
given by the facilitator while the answer of the group 2 as well as the
group 3 can be based on their combined real-life experiences. The
facilitator will give the students 5 minutes each to discuss tehir answer
with the group and another 3 minutes to present it to the class. With this
activity, the students will be able to scrutinize those environmental factors
affecting motivation, their teachers, classmates parents and even to the
people they’re dealing with.

 Teachers Affective Traits

Activity: “Information from your opinion’

Description of the Activity: The facilitator will give students a colored


paper and will group them according to the color they receive.The groups
will be ask for to describe the given traits of an affective teacher using
their own opinion. The first color will be assigned to discuss on how
teacher should care and exercise fairness and respect to their students. The
second group will be ask to explain how teachers should exercise social
interactions with students and enthusiasm and motivation for learning.
The last color group will be task to explain attitude of an affective teacher
to teaching profession, how an affective teacher create positive expection
to students and how teacheres become more reflective in his/her teaching.
The asnwers of this activity will be found in the pop sheets provided by
the facilitator. The students will be given 5 minutes to do and discuss their
topics with their groups and another 3 minutes to present it in the class.
With this activity the students will be able to acquire knowledge of an
affective teacher in the classroom and could even give them idea on how
to create a motivative environment in the classroom.

 Classmates – Bullying and the Need to Belong

Activity: “Read, Share and Answer”

Description of the Activity: The facilitator will give the students a flash
card with a number 1, 2 and 3. After the distrubutiion of the flash card, the
facilitator will group them according to the number of the flash cards they
receive. Following the flash card is a question to be asnwered by eacch
group. The group 1 will be ask discuss about what is bullying? In which
they are going to bring out their own opinion about bullyig base on their
own understanding and even in their own experiences. The group 2 will be
ask to explain what are the possible effect of sbullying to someone in
learning career. The group 3 will be ask to explain how to turn bullying
into constructive motivation? The faciliatator will give students 5 minutes
to explain their ideas in their respectives groups and another 3 minutes to
present it to the class. The answer can be found in the pop sheets
proveided by the facilitator. With this activity,the students could develop
their constructivity to turn negativity into something that could potentially
triggers their determination to study even harder and push even stronger.

 Parents as Part of the Learners’ Human Learning
Environment

Activity: “Our Parents, Our Hero”

Description of the Activity: The facilitator will group the students by


leting them count 1, 2 and 3. The facilitator will ask each group to discuss
the topic in which they were assigned of. The group 1 will be ask to
answer in their parents are doing the first 4 behavioral traits of a
supportive parents. The group 2 will be assigned to explain the next from
5 to 8 beheavioral traits of a supportive parents. Meanwhile the group 3
will be to explain the remaining 3 behavioral traits of a supportive parents.
The facilitator will give pop sheets to students where the behavioral traits
that they are going to explain are written. The facilitator will give the
students 5 minutes to express their opinion to their group and another 3
minutes to present it to the class. This could help students, to realize the
effort done by their very supportive parents for their studies and could
strongly strengthen and motivate them to studey more and do a payback
for their parents pricelss efforts and supports.

V. GENERALIZATION

Presentation of the graphic organizer for the summarization of the topic. The facilitator will
give a prepare a ballons to students. The students will pass the ballons at each other will
music plays. When the music stops, the students with the ballon will be ask to choose one of
the subtopic and will make summary of it.
