1.1 General
Circuit diagrams include the essential operating information of the power plant, and
therefore it is important for the operator and troubleshooting teams to read and
understand them.
Each type of apparatus has a code or symbol of its own. The code or symbol is selected
according to Appendix 1 and Appendix 2.
The operating principle is shown in the circuit diagrams. Cable connections and wirings
are shown in the wiring tables.
All switches, circuit breakers etc. are shown in the open position. Auxiliary contacts of a
circuit breaker or disconnector are shown as if the breaker or disconnector was open.
Sensors are shown in the de-energized position. (E.g. pressostats with no pressure,
temp. sensors with 0 °C low temperature…)
The reader should notice that in actual operating situations, relays, switches, etc. will be
in different positions, but the operating principles will be according to the circuit
diagrams.
SHEET
number of the sheet
OF SHEET
total number of sheets in the drawing group
ASSY ID
name of the panel
The sheet number is not shown when the reference is on the same sheet. The drawing
group is not shown when the reference is in the same drawing but on a different sheet.
References are used to link separate drawings together to produce a system according
to the following example:

The relay coil K20 in Appendix 8 has contacts 11, 12, 14. Next to the contact there is a
reference 3/3B which means that the active contact is actually shown on page 3 in
section 3B in Appendix 7. There is also a reference 4/2F next to the relay contact in
Appendix 7 which indicates where the relay K20 is located. In this case it is pointing
back to page 4 section 2F in Appendix 8.
Relay contacts
all relay contacts controlled by a coil are shown under the coil
