● The Heading
● The Greeting
● The Body

Heading

● Heading --->455 East Main Street

● The heading of a letter should contain the return


address, which includes the street address on
one line, followed by the city, state and zip code
on the next line. The third line is the date.
Greeting

● Dear Michael, <--- Greeting


● The greeting means “hello”. Usually, all of the
words, which are a part of the greeting, are
capitalized. A comma follows the greeting.
Body

● Let me tell you some of the reasons I


hope you will never smoke.……
Body--->
● The body of the letter contains the main text or
message. Each paragraph should be indented.
Closing

● Closing ---> Sincerely,


● The closing means “good-bye”. The first word of
the closing begins with a capital letter. A comma
follows the closing
Signature

● Signature ---> Jean Rogers


● The signature tells who wrote the letter.
