Do not just dream, make it happen

Answer the following questions:

1.) Who are you and what would you become:


a.) Five years from now

In the next five years, I am 24 years old, a lot of thing may change. The
society is shifting at a speed of light, with improved robotics and modern
technologies demonstrating their worth. I’d like to set some realistic objectives
for myself. Five years from now, I see myself as someone who has completed
college and preparing for the CPA board exam. I also view myself as a
hardworking individual who wants to support and give brighter future for the
family, especially for the parents.

b.) Ten years from now

That time, I already 29 years old. I view myself as a confident,


independent, healthy, and most importantly, happy woman. Ten years from
now, I see my self as an individual who works as an accountant on one of the
most successful and famous accounting firm here in our country. I hope that
ten years from now, I will be able to live a happy and fulfilled life. Also, in
addition, I see myself starting my own family.

c.) Twenty years from now

In twenty years, I’ll be 39 years old. I see myself having my own


family, being contented with my love ones, my husband and my children. I also
see myself as a supporting mother to my future children. By this time, I hope
that I will be stable and happy in my working environment. I also see myself as
a person who gives support to some charities together with my family and
friends.

2.) What are your motivations for your envisioned self:


a.) Five years from now

Five years from now, my motivations for my envisioned self is my


goals and dreams which is to be a successful individual and to become a CPA.
Working on my dream successful and famous accounting firm motivates me to
work hard. I have modest goals, which include thanking all those who
supported me, giving attention to my family, and being a person that they can
be proud of, as well as one who is honestly happy and satisfied with who I
have become.
b.) Ten years from now

My motivations for my envisioned self ten years from now is my


family and also the man I love. My parents inspire me to be a hardworking,
determined, and adaptable person. They have contributed greatly to my
lifestyle and have played a large impact in shaping me into the person I am
today. They serve as a great role models for me, pushing me to consider
responsibility in order to become a better person. They taught me that with a
strong education, a clear purpose, and unwavering drive, I could achieve
everything. The man I love is also my motivation. Since relationships are more
than just falling in love, be with someone who inspires you to do better in life.
It’s all about motivating one another to be better versions of yourselves
everyday.

c.) Twenty years from now

Twenty years from now, my motivations for my envisioned self is my


parents and my own family. These are the people who motivates mke to wake
up in the morning and work hard everyday. They are always there for me and
encourage me in anything I do. I can always count on them for words of
support, and they seem to sense when I’m not feeling well. With their love and
support, I can do everything and achieve it.

3. Outline your plans on how you will make your envisioned self in reality:
a.) Five years from now

This is my plan on how I make my envisioned self five years from now in
reality:
1. Study hard. Studying hard not only helps us achieve good grades in
school, but it also helps us enhance our personalities.
2. Establish goals that will have the greatest impact.
3. Always keep your family in mind as a source of inspiration.
4. Do not let any challenges to be a hindrance and distractions in
achieving my dream to be an accountant.

b.) Ten years from now

This is my plan on how I make my envisioned self ten years from now in
reality:
1. Set both realistic and unrealistic goals.
2. Maintain a professional manner at work because professionalism
develops a respected workplace, which should result in conflicts being
handled properly.
3. Make a smart goals for the best results.
4. Always focus on your goal.
5. Maintain a healthy work-life balance. Make time for your family at all
times.

c.) Twenty years from now

This is my plan on how I make my envisioned self twenty years from now in
reality:
1. Work hard to support your family, especially your children.
2. Provide my family a brighter future.
3. As a parent and wife, be a wonderful, loving, and caring person.
4. Never give up aiming to reach your family's goals.
5. Always give support to your kids on what they want in the future.
6. Be a role model and inspiration for your children.

Reflection:

How did you feel after answering the questions? In your own opinion,
why do you think it is important to set long-term goals for yourself?

After answering those questions, I feel happy because I see that as my


motivations to work hard to help my parents and also to have a brighter future.
When the moment comes for me to fulfill my goals and achieve all of my
dreams, I am overjoyed. I'm glad, and there's a sense of contentment in the
environment. Goals are designed to be achieved, but when they are achieved
through hard effort and pushing ourselves to our limitations, the feeling of
achievement lasts a lifetime and inspires us to strive even harder.
Setting goals provides you with both long-term and short-term motivation.
It emphasizes your learning and helps you in managing your time and resources
so that you may get the most out of your life. In my own perspective, it is very
important to set long-term goals for myself beacuse it helps us in shaping the
nature of our life and professions. Self-improvement requires long-term goals.
They provide us with something to strive for and help us stay focused on our
goals. It also help us in achieving financial security and stability. Having a good
understanding on your earning potential throughout the course of your career can
help you make better, more educated financial decisions and set aside money for
the future.
