 Operations on a GPON ONT

An AEMS operator can do the following to an ONT:

‘ Add an ONT
‘ Activate an ONT
‘ Deactivate an ONT
‘ Modify an ONT
‘ Delete an ONT

An AEMS operator can do the following to the services

bound to an ONT :
‘ Provision Services on an ONT
‘ Activate Services on an ONT
‘ Deactivate Services on an ONT
‘ Modify Services on an ONT
‘ Delete Services on an ONT

There are two (2) ways to Deactivate an ONT:

Three (3) steps to Deactivating an ONT using the

AEMS ONT Activation Wizard
1. Select Node – Select AOLT-4000 by IP address
2. Select an Operation – Select ONT Level
3. ONT Details – Activate ONT
4. Review ONT Details

‘ From the main AEMS screen select Configuration > ONT
Configuration > ONT Activation Wizard
‘ Use the Select a Node dropdown list to select the AOLT-4000 node
to which the ONT is to be added
‘ Click on Next to go to the next step

Indicates which

based on its IP address

select Card Level or Port Level if you wish to activate at those levels.
‘ Click on Next to go to the next step

Deactivating an ONT – Using the Topology
Pane
To Deactivate an ONT Using the Toolbar
‘ Click on the ONT icon in the AEMS topology pane.
‘ From the resulting pop-up menu, select the ONT
Activation/Deactivation option. Note: In this popup you can perform
ONT Activation/Deactivation, Service Activation/Deactivation, Modify
ONT and Delete ONT.

Delete an ONT – Using the Topology Pane

To Delete an ONT Using the Toolbar

‘ Click on the ONT icon in the AEMS topology pane.
‘ From the resulting pop-up menu, select the ONT Delete option. Note:
In this popup you can perform ONT Activation/Deactivation, Service
Activation/Deactivation, Modify ONT and Delete ONT.
