1 Simplify each ratio.

= 1:4 = 3:2 = 4:5
2 Duncan and his sister Hannah have lollies in the ratio 1 : 4. If Duncan has 13 lollies, how
many does Hannah have?
Hannah has 4 × Duncan
= 4 × 13
= 52 lollies
