2. Two spheres are cut from a certain uniform rock. One has radius 4.50 cm. The mass of the
other is five times greater. Find its radius. Give your answer to 2 decimal places. [4 marks]
3. A solid piece of lead has a mass of 23.94 g and a volume of 2.10 cm3. From these data, calculate
the density of lead in SI units (kg/m3). Give your answer in normalized scientific notation to
2 decimal places [3 marks]
4. Solve the following expressions using the correct number of significant figures.
(a) 5001 – 6.355 + 78.44 [1 marks]
(b) 98.10 × 0.03 [1 marks]

5. The coordinate of the midpoint of PQ is (-2,1). If the coordinates of P are (-4,2)
