I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards At the end of the lesson, 85% of the learners should be able to demonstrate their
understanding of the definition, nature, function, and history of accounting.
B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to cite specific examples in which accounting is used in
making decision.
C. Learning Competencies / The learners define accounting.

V. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous (5 minutes)

instances of the new situation of daily activities wherein accounting is being used/ applied.

The class will be group into 8 and will be given materials for them to utilize. They have
to write words that they have associated with the word accounting, based on the
video/slides presented. A representative of the group will discuss the output of the
group in class.
D. Discussing new concepts (5 minutes). The teacher will paste various picture on the blackboard each picture
and practicing new skills #1 describes and define what accounting is and the basic features of accounting.
The students will analyze the picture and let the group discuss, brainstorm to
answer the following picture.
1. Based on the given picture, how will you define accounting?
2. Based on the given picture, what are the basic features of accounting?

E. Discussing new concepts (20 minutes)
and practicing new skills #2 Students will going to play a pantomime activity, in which they will be given a certain
scenario and they will act that scenario with the gestures only. After acting they will
going to explain their action.
