BUS 601-5: Human Resource Management


Mid-term Examination

❑Date: 31 st
July 2021; Saturday;
❑Time: 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm (Always put on your video
for the whole duration of examination);
❑Venue: google classroom;

❑The examination is worth 25% of total


marks and you will have three hours for
the paper.

This examination consists of two sections:
❑Section A
❑Section B
You are required to answer 3 (three) questions in total.
You answer 1 (one) question from Section A (13 marks);
You answer 2 (two) questions from Section B ( 6x2=12 Marks) ;
Rules for take home exam
❑Read your questions very carefully and provide answers that
are relevant and as far as possible provide examples to
demonstrate that you understand the concepts.
❑The best source of examples is your prescribed textbook and
the cases we have discussed in lectures.
❑You can also illustrate your answers with cases found in other
textbooks, journal articles, the internet, or from your own
practical experience.
❑Make sure that your case references are contextually relevant.

❑Write your answers in MS word format.
❑Include the questions when answering.
❑Observe the following formatting guidelines:
❑Margin: 1 inch;
❑Spacing: 1.5;
❑Font: Times new roman 12 pts;

❑The only option for submission is by using google classroom
(follow the designated tab and upload/submit your answer script).
❑Internet problems will not be accepted as an excuse for late
submissions. It is your responsibility to make sure that your
internet works properly and that I receive the submission on
time.
❑The exam must be taken completely alone. Showing it or
discussing it with anybody is forbidden, including (but not
limited to) the other students in the course in current or
previous years.

❑You may use any publicly available material you want,
including books, journal articles, the internet, etc.
❑If you find a solution of a test problem in a book or
online, cite it in your submission and do not copy it as-is,
but make changes which demonstrate you understand
what you are writing. Otherwise we may not accept it.
❑Make an effort to make your submission clear and
readable.

❑Marks allocated to the questions have been indicated on the
right side.
❑I would like to see the degree of your understanding of Human
Resource Management issues not your capacity to memorise
them.
❑ABSOLUTELY NO EXTENSIONS.
❑Late submission is not allowed.
