EXPLORE
Why is it important to make a will?

It is important to make a will because A will is a written document that speaks for
you after you die. It can communicate how you want your property and assets to
be distributed; name a guardian for your children if you pass away before they
reach adulthood; and leave specific instructions like arrangements for your
funeral.

Assessment Task 1 Case study
Case# : Choosing Classes

Is it appropriate for you to take the history class during the fall term in order to
help you fulfill your graduation requirements?

- No, it's not necessarily for me to take the history class during the fall
term because I still have time to take it in Spring term. And in fact, I'm
just starting my senior year in college, hence, I still have time to take
history class.

Case #2 Taxes
Is it appropriate for you to pretend that certain personal expenses are business
expenses in order to lower your taxes?

- Ethically and lawfully, speaking, it is not appropriate for me to make my

personal expenses as my business expenses because, clearly, it is against
the law. In the eyes of the law, it is never appropriate
CRITICAL THINKING
Assessment Task 2 Situational Analysis
Guide Questions:

1. Do you feel “some type of way” on behalf of your friend?

I feel pity to my friend of what she experienced and I feel disappointed to the man who doesn’t
know how to say thank you of what my friend showing kind to him. It’s so unfair that the man
disregarded the very long line. But as they say we cannot please people to payback the
goodness that we show to them.

2. What if it was revealed that this person was elderly and/or blind?

For me as what I have noticed I think he is elderly because he did not go to the line and he
directly approach the cashier, because here in our country if you are a senior citizen you will
have a priority line.

3. Does it change what you feel? Is it a wrong or right situation?

Yeah it changes what I feel because at first I was disappointed about what he did, but I realized
when I read the question number 2 there is a possibility that the man there is an elderly or
blind. For me if it proves that he is an elderly or a blind there’s nothing wrong with that
because we need to give respect of their differences and we need to understand their situation
because it’s not easy to be like them.
