Calculate the value of mean, median and standard deviation

a. Mean = (142+101+137+128+124+121+133+77+127+108+
139+68+112+123+130) / 15
= 1170/15
= 118

b. Median = 15+1 / 2
=8

c. Variance = ​215 464 - 1 368900/15

Standard deviation = ​√​8871.71
= 94.19

to find range for group data, we

b. Variance
= [97355- ( (2330)² / 60) ] / 60
= 97355- 90481.67 / 60
= 114.56

c. Standard deviation
= √114.56
= 10.70

d. Interquartile range (Q3-Q1)

= 43.1-31.1
= 12

e. Semi-interquartile range
= 43.1-31.1 / 2
=6
iii) Measure of position

a. First quartile (Q1)

= 29.5 + ( 15-11 / 25 ) X 10
= 29.5 + 0.16(10)
= 31.1

Third quartile (Q3)

= 29.5 + ( 45-11 / 25 ) x 10
= 29.5 + 1.36(10)
= 43.1

iv) Measure of skewness

= 38.83-37.1 / 10.70
= 1.73 / 10.70
= 0.162 (PCS= +ve value)
Skewed to the right.
