A. REVIEW
Identifying complementary colors.

B. MOTIVATION
Learners act as tourists/travelers.
The teacher tours the class to different wonderful places in the Philippines by
showing photos of it. Learners write their observation and analyzation to the
photos/ sceneries they have seen and share it with the class after.
C. PRESENTATION

Landscape is a painting, drawing, or other depiction of natural scenery such as


mountain, fields or forests. Although figures and manmade objects may be
included in a landscape, they are of secondary importance to the composition and
incidental to the content.

A landscape art has parts, the foreground, middle ground, background and the
horizon line.

Foreground is the part that appears closest to the viewer and usually positioned
at the bottom of the artwork. The objects in this part appear larger relatively to the
objects at the middle ground and background.
Middle Ground is the part between the foreground and background
Background is the part that appears to be farthest from the viewer. The objects in
this part appear relatively smaller to the objects at the foreground and middle
ground.
The Horizon Line is the line where sky meets the earth or land.

In landscape art, there is also overlapping, the placement in a composition of one


object in front of another in order to create the illusion of depth

background and the color in the foreground is more saturated than the background.

D. APPLICATION

Class is divided into groups with 5 members each. Each group will receive
printed landscape photo that is unfinished along with cut-out objects that are
supposedly in the landscape photo. The learners will paste the cut-out objects
appropriately basing on the proportion and contrast and will label the parts
foreground, middle ground, background and horizon line.

E. GENERALIZATION

Teacher asks where the foreground, middle ground, background and the
horizon line in the photos viewed a while ago.

landscape – foreground, middle ground, background and the horizon line.

Do a brief study and reading about the Philippine myths and legends such Mariang
Makiling, Bernardo Carpio, dwende, capre, sirena, Darna, diwata, Dalagang Magayon.
