Comprehend and discuss the following questions briefly.

1. How important management is?

➢ Management is very important to everyone. No matter how much capital
you have, if you don't know how to manage your capital, you will lose it. In
my personal experience because I used to have a business in manila,
Cellphone shop is my products, When I was able to manage my business,
my income was 20 to 30000 every day. But when I continued my study in
Arabic I couldn't manage it so the sales went down and I lost all my
valuable customers so, I stopped doing business. So, I went home to
Mindanao to study college and to continue my study in Arabic. That's why
proper management is needed.

2. An “ineffective manager concentrates on doing things right, rather than on

doing the right things”. Why?
➢ For example: When your boss told you to sweep and then he told you that
you will use scrub instead of Broom sweeper then you still do it because
you follow the rules that's what they say doing things right. But when you
say doing things right, when your boss tells you to sweep then what you
will use is scrub then you say boss it would be better for me to use broom
sweeper instead of scrub. That's what it means to be doing the right thing.

3. What are the concepts of management and how they differ to each other?
➢ There are four concepts of management. Industrial engineering approach,
organizational theorists, behavioral concept and the functional approach.
The differences between them is that the industrial engineering approach
focuses on scientific methods, they believe with a careful scientific
analyzation then a maximum production will be attained. The
organizational theorists focus on area of specialization, division of labor
and many more, we can say that they organize things and they believe
that if the they were to do it, naturally they will have natural results. The
behavioral concept focuses and urges the manager to enrich jobs.
Meaning they want to give freedom and more responsibility to their
workers, a good working stations to say the least, they believe having a
happy worker is naturally followed by good production. The last one on the
other hand, the functional approach has a different view, they believe that
management is a series of functions, which are planning, organizing,
directing, coordinating and controlling, to dumb it down, it means that to
have a good management, everyone has different functions and different
works that if we follow or do every last one of them, then good production
is sure to come.

4. How important objectives and planning are?

➢ Objectives are the way to guide you and your employees on the way to
building the business. Objectives are important because they convert
visions into a reality and measurable targets. Employees are very clear as
to what they are expected to achieve and when. While a plan is a course
of action towards the realization of the goal, it also supports SMART goal
setting. In particular, planning helps to critically assess the goal to see if
it’s realistic. It facilitates decision making and allows setting a time frame
by predicting when the company can achieve its goal. It also defines how
to measure performance against the set goals and whose responsibility it
will be.

5. Give the key points in every functions of management.

➢ There are five functions: planning, organizing, leading, staffing and
controlling. Since for us to have a good outcome, we must first need to
plan things out. What are the strategies that we need to use, goals and
actions that need to be done and whatnot Organizing, from the word
organize, everything has to be organized to avoid conflicts. It gives
importance to establishing a good relationship between workers well
logically having workers that work together results to a good production.
Leading from the word lead, a good leader results to a good follower.
They lead the way for the pack to follow. Staffing, from the word staff, well
basically recruiting and selecting of employees that are right for the
positions. Controlling, we have to know if we are in control, or if we are
achieving are goals and whatnot. So that we know what to do and what
actions to take.
