3. What are the concepts of management and how they differ to each other?
➢ There are four concepts of management. Industrial engineering approach,
organizational theorists, behavioral concept and the functional approach.
The differences between them is that the industrial engineering approach
focuses on scientific methods, they believe with a careful scientific
analyzation then a maximum production will be attained. The
organizational theorists focus on area of specialization, division of labor
and many more, we can say that they organize things and they believe
that if the they were to do it, naturally they will have natural results. The
behavioral concept focuses and urges the manager to enrich jobs.
Meaning they want to give freedom and more responsibility to their
workers, a good working stations to say the least, they believe having a
happy worker is naturally followed by good production. The last one on the
other hand, the functional approach has a different view, they believe that
management is a series of functions, which are planning, organizing,
directing, coordinating and controlling, to dumb it down, it means that to
have a good management, everyone has different functions and different
works that if we follow or do every last one of them, then good production
is sure to come.
