COVID19 Vaccination for employees

As you are aware, Govt. of India has approved Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) to two COVID
vaccines. The first phase of vaccination has commenced on 16th January, 2021 for front line healthcare
workers. This is expected to be soon extended to other citizens in a phased manner. The vaccination
course consists of two separate doses, to be administered with a gap of 28 days. Both the doses need
to be of the same brand and protective immune response will start 04 weeks after the second dose.
COVID vaccination is voluntary as per Govt. guidelines. Though the vaccine is extensively checked for
its efficacy and biosafety, any adverse effect whatsoever that may arise due to vaccination will be the
responsibility of the individual taking the vaccine.

We want to facilitate the COVID vaccination for our employees on a priority basis, as and when Govt.
approves its use for the public. We plan to place an advance procurement order for the Covishield
vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India (SII) and the cost for vaccination including logistics
and administration will be approx. Rs.2,000/- per person for 02 doses.

Shortly we will be approaching all the employees to understand their interest to avail the vaccination
through an online ‘COVID Vaccine Option Form’. The employee in addition to self, can also opt for
vaccination for immediate family members (spouse, maximum two children of age more than 18 years
and parents). The cost of the Vaccination, for the employee will be borne by the Company, however
the cost of the vaccination for family members will be borne by the employee and the same will be
recovered from his/her salary.

Once the consent is provided by the staff for self & the family member, the order will be placed by the
company, hence its necessary that the vaccination is availed by the staff & his/her family members.
We will be compelled to recover the cost of the vaccination, from the salary of the employee even if
not availed.
