PROPOSED ONLINE POLICIES ON STUDENT DISCIPLINE

I. Introduction

La Consolacion College Tanauan, a Catholic Augustinian educational institution is


committed to give an innovative and transformative education for the students and
equip them with Christian values. The sole responsibility of every student in the
community is to avoid inflicting harm (physical, emotional, moral, and spiritual) to
anyone. It will be beneficial and satisfying to all members of the community if all strive
to relate with one another in a healthy manner.

The behavior and demeanor worthy of an LCCian are stipulated in LCCT rules,
guidelines and procedures. Every student is held accountable for his/her actions in the
school and online community. LCCT recognizes and embraces the benefits and
opportunities that social media can bring as an instrument of educating the learners and
because of the demands of online education, the institution implemented Online Policies
on Student Discipline.

II. Objectives
1. To provide a safe and friendly online learning environment in the school
community.
2. To established the good behavior of the student in online /social media.
3. To ensure an informative and healthy communication between students and
teachers.
4. To help student develop proper behavior online, self – control, respect to others
and maintain the expected behavior as an LCCian student.

III. Online Policies


*Rules, guidelines and procedures indicated in the Student Handbook on Student
Discipline is still implemented for the school year.

A. On using the Learning Management System (LMS) Account of the Students


1. In online environment and communication with the teachers, students are
expected to show the following manners.
a. Students should follow the rules and guideline in each
subject/course.
b. Students are strongly encouraged to use polite and respectful
words in addressing teachers, school staff and other students. (Sir,
Miss, Mr., Mrs. should use in addressing the teachers and school
administrators.)
c. Used of “slang” words are not allowed.

d. Students should wear proper attire if there are scheduled virtual


meetings with the teachers and other students.
e. In posting their answers, comments and questions, students should
use the correct spelling of each words (English or Tagalog).
f. Students are not to use obscene, profane, threatening, or
disrespectful language or images in any communications with
teachers, staff and other students.
2. Students should only use their LMS account for learning purposes only.
3. Students should use profile picture that is appropriate for an educational
environment.
4. In some of online activities “nicknames” are required. Students should use their
real name (Surname or Given Name) as their nickname.
5. Students are prohibited to take screen shots and recordings of the on-going
online classes and making it public the same with the videos made by the
teacher and being uploaded in the LMS.
6. Reproduction and redistribution of learning materials of each subject / courses
are prohibited. (Refer to Social Media Policy #8 Intellectual Property)
*Modules, Lesson Plans, PowerPoint Presentations, Voice Recorders, Video
Presentations, Worksheets, or any form of assessments that was made by the
teachers or school.
*Online resources are excluded if it is downloadable in internet.

NOTE: The school strongly discouraged the students to give permission in the third party to access
their account. The consequences of giving your own account and password to the third party is not the
responsibility of the school. *Students who needs the assistance of their parents are excluded.

B. On Social Media
*Social Media Policy for Students is still included in Online Policies on Student
Discipline

Unacceptable behaviors of the students in social media and online community:


1. Cyberbullying (Refer to Social Media Policy in Student Handbook)
2. Sexting:
2.1 Sending messages that violate the morality as a student enrolled in a
Catholic school.
2.2 Sending nude pictures of yourself. (*Nude also refers to any form of pictures
that harm and offend the sensibilities of others)
2.3 Sending nude pictures of any pornographic magazines.
2.4 Sending pornographic videos.
2.5 Sending obscene and malicious voice recorders.
3. Posting any form of materials and pornographic videos, pictures, voice recorder
in social media that harm the name of the school. (Even if it is in their private
account and then it became public that harm the name of the school)

4.1 Posting and sharing learning materials on social media –without

consent of the school.
4.2 Posting and sharing other’s pictures (decent and indecent pictures) without
the consent of the person.

4.3 Posting and sharing misinformation using the logo and name of the school.
4.4 Posting and sharing tampered announcements of the school.
*Always refer the announcements to the official page of the school in
Facebook account.

C. Data Privacy Policy


*Refer to LCCT Data Privacy Policy in Student Handbook p. 110 – 114
1. LCCT as a Personal Information Controller (PIC) responsible to the
information collected from the teachers, students, parents and school staff.
The school has a right to implement guidelines and procedures in every
information and data collected from its members. As a member of the
institution, students are prohibited to share information of any member of
the school without the consent of the concerned person and the school itself.
This is also included the learning materials made by the teachers such as:
a. Video Presentations
b. PowerPoint Presentations
c. Worksheets
d. Lesson Plan / Modules
*It should not be distributed and reproduce without the consent of the
school and the teacher.

IV. Disciplinary Action


In as much as each student is held responsible and accountable for his/her actions,
there is therefore a corresponding sanction in each offense. (Refer to the Student
Handbook p.58 – 72)

Protocol for Reporting (Major offenses of the students that needs proper guidance)
1. Upon the offense of the student, the teacher will complete and submit an Incident
Report and to be submitted to the Office of the Discipline.
*If it is online it will be submitted in the email address of the Office of Student
Affairs
*Teachers should report only those behaviors and offenses that they couldn’t take
action and needs the assistance of the office.
2. The Office of the Discipline or Student Affairs will notify the student, parent
/guardian about the offense/violation.
3. Based on the report, the Office of the Discipline or Student Affairs will determine
what, if any, disciplinary action must be taken. A violation of the Student Code of
Conduct will result in a disciplinary action and may result in the withdrawal or
removal of the student in the subject/course
*Withdrawal or removal in the subject /course is based on the weight of the
offense / violated rules.
4. A student who violated the rules and guidelines of the school for students’ discipline
is also subject to discipline by his/her parents / guardian.

PROPOSED ONLINE POLICIES ON STUDENT ACTIVITIES

I. Introduction

La Consolacion College Tanauan, as a member of Unified La Consolacion College –


South Luzon (ULCC-SL), recognizes the value of developing creative, critical, responsive
and dynamic student leaders, thus, different clubs and organizations are organized.
Extra and Co-Curricular activities seek to encourage the formation and development of
the students’ physical, social, emotional, technical skills, intellectual, economic and
spiritual aspects in line with the school’s Vision – Mission.

II. Objectives

1. To provide online activity platforms which will cater the students’ continuous
development of their skills and talents.
2. To promote an environment of mutual respect, peace and order and discipline
among the students of LCCT.
3. To develop creative and responsible students who will eventually become leaders in
their chosen field of endeavor through creative involvement and passion in service.

III. Online Policies

A. Policies from the LCCT Premiere School Continuity Learning Plan (PSCLP)
1. Activities of the Student Affairs shall be postponed until the second
quarter of the academic year. This is done in order to enable the students
to concentrate solely on their academics.
2. At the offset of the second quarter, the students will be oriented about the
school clubs and organizations through class orientation, online posts, and
bulletin boards. Enlistment for club membership will be done in the
classrooms through the advisers on a particular date set by the Office of
Student Affairs.
3. Initial meetings devoted to election of officers and planning of activities
will be done online. The club moderators will design activities that could
be done online.
4. The election of the Student Coordinating Body (SCB) of the LS, MS and the
JHS Departments, along with the Supreme Student Government (SSG) of
the SHS Department will be done on the second quarter of the school year.
Campaigns will be done through social media. Meanwhile, the

computerized election will be scheduled by the Office of–the
South Luzon
Student
Affairs following proper physical distancing measures.
5. There shall be no in campus academic and non-academic contests that
would require student assemblies. LCCT students shall also not
participate on off-campus academic and non-academic contests until such
time that it would already be safe for them to do so.

6. Exposure and immersion activities of the MRBCEC shall be suspended


until such time that the holding of these activities would no longer be
perilous for the students’ and teachers’ health and safety.
7. Holding of field trips shall also be suspended.
8. Work immersion of Tech-Voc HE and Tech-Voc ICT shall be done by
January 2021 if the holding of such activities would not compromise the
health and safety of the students. Otherwise, the SHS department shall
devise mechanisms that would enable the students to gain the work
immersion competencies through other means aside from actual industry
immersion.
9. All in campus and off-campus activities scheduled from January 2021 until
the end of the school year will be done following the health and safety
guidelines set by the authorities.

B. Policies on Club Registration and Membership


1. All clubs and organizations shall remain operational for the school year.
2. An online club shopping/marketing will be scheduled by the Office of Student
Affairs.
3. Each club moderator shall create their own online marketing and recruitment
program for their prospective members. The marketing program may be done in
any social media platforms.
4. A student is required to be a member of one major club/organization.
5. A student should formally register online on the club he/she desired.
6. Online club registrations may be done through the use of Google Forms and
other online registration platforms available. This must be facilitated by the club
moderator.
7. Each club must not exceed 45 members.
8. A club member is not allowed to transfer from one club to another unless
recommended by the club moderator and confirmed by the Office of the Student
Affairs.
9. All students who successfully registered online will be declared as official
members of each club/organization.
10. The club moderators must submit a complete list of their members to the Office
of Student Affairs.
11. The Student Affairs Office will post/announce the official list of club members in
their LMS account.

C. Policies on Club Activities


1. All forms of club gatherings which permits face-to-face interaction such as
programs and rehearsals are not allowed.
2. All club activities shall be done through online for the school year.

3. Club Activity Period shall be specified by the Office of Student Affairs.
4. Club elections must be facilitated online by the club moderator on the
specific date given.
5. All club members must attend the regular club online meeting on the prescribed
time and day set by the Office of Student Affairs and Club Moderator.

6. A club member who fails to attend online club meetings, activities and projects
without valid reason will have a demerit point in his/her Co-Curricular
Involvement grade.
7. A club member with more than four (4) unexcused absences will be terminated
as member of the club, hence, he/she will be referred to the office for special
online assignments or tasks prescribed by the Office of Student Affairs.
8. In case, the club moderator was not able to meet his/her members. He/She is
allowed to schedule an online club meeting/activity on other days as approved
by the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of the Principal.

*Other specific policies such as submission of proposals / co-curricular involvement


grade/guidelines on student activity rehearsals shall remain the same. (Refer to
Student Handbook, pages 75-77)

D. Student Coordinating Body (SCB)/Supreme Student Government (SSG) Activities


1. The SCB and SSG Miting de Avance and Elections shall be done online this school
year.
2. Any qualified student for the position must file his/her candidacy on the specific
date scheduled by the Office of Student Affairs.
3. All candidacy forms must be submitted online to the Office of Student Affairs for
screening purposes.
4. All campaigns must be done online by the candidates following the same
guidelines provided in the Student Handbook.
5. The SCB and SSG Advisers shall develop an online program for the Miting de
Avance. The program shall be uploaded in the school’s official Facebook account
for viewing. The program shall run only on the specified date provided by the
Office of the Student Affairs.
6. Elections and canvassing of votes will be done online through Google Forms
and/or other online platform available.
7. All elected candidates shall be officially announced by the Office of Student
Affairs a day after the elections.
8. All other policies and procedures concerning to meetings, planning, trainings,
submission of proposals, etc. shall remain the same but shall be done online.

E. Policies on Class Elections


1. All classes are required to elect class officers.
2. Class elections shall be done online and must be facilitated by the class adviser.
3. Class elections shall be scheduled by the Office of Student Affairs.
4. Class elections may be done through their LMS account, Google Form and/or
other online platform available.

5. The official list of elected class officers must be submitted to –the
South Luzon
Office of
Student Affairs right after the elections.

F. Policies on Sports Trainings/Programs


1. All forms of sports gatherings which permits face-to-face interaction such as
trainings and competitions are cancelled for this school year.
2. The Sports Development Office is required to create a new online program for
their varsity players/members. Such online programs must include online
training course, E-Sports program and other online activities specified by the
Sports Coordinator.
3. All proposed online sports gaming program or E-sports shall be reviewed first
by the Office of Student Affairs, Office of the Principal and must be approved by
the Office of the School Chancellor and Office of the College President.
4. The Sports Development Office may create new programs which allows indoor
and outdoor non-contact sports provided that minimum health standards will
be maintained such as wearing masks and social distancing will be observed and
no sharing of equipment. These sports as allowed by the National IATF include
Cycling, Swimming, Tennis, Skateboarding, Badminton, Running, Jogging.

G. Other Policies
1. All student activity proposals must still be submitted a month before its target
date.
2. No student activities (in-campus and off-campus) shall be allowed to operate
without the approval of the Office of Student Affairs, Office of the Principal,
Office of the School Chancellor and Office of the College President.
3. All program activities which will be done/ be uploaded online must follow
proper netiquette and must be approved by the Office of Student Affairs.
4. All in-campus and off-campus activities with face-to-face gatherings such as
programs and competitions will only be done if approved by the Department of
Education, Department of Health and the Inter-Agency Task Force.
