ACTIVITY: JUMBLED WORDS

Let’s have a game about our past lesson.

Instructions:
1. The teacher will give a box to the students that
will play along with music.
2. When the music stop the student must identify
the jumbled words to find the correct answer.
3. The students only have 3 minutes to answer the
question.

Is there any clarification about the instructions?

-None, Ma’am!

Questions:
1. Processes and packages proteins.
Answer: Golgi Complex

Answer: Chloroplast
5. Smallest unit of life.
Answer: Cell

Excellent!
Do you have any clarification regarding to our previous
lesson?

-None Ma’am!

Okay, it really seems that you listen to our previous

lesson because you all got a high score in your past
activity. So if that’s the case, let’s proceed to the next
lesson.

C. MOTIVATION

Let’s have a game entitled “Fix and Name Me”. It is a

jumbled pictures and letter that you should fix in order
to get the right answer.

II. INTERACTION
(The teacher will proceed to the discussion proper of the
new topic which is the components of blood)

Very Good! Today our topic will be all about the

components of blood.
Are you all familiar to blood?

-Yes, ma’am
Of course! How can you define blood in your own idea?

-Ma’am blood is a fluid that circulates in our body.

Very Good! Blood is a body fluid in humans and other

animals that delivers necessary substances such as
nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transports
metabolic waste products away from those same cells.

Do you have any idea who discovers the blood?

-Yes, Ma’am. It is Karl Landsteiner.

Very Good!

Blood has Four components:

Blood Plasma
-is a yellowish liquid component of blood that holds
the blood cells in whole blood in suspension. It is the
liquid part of the blood that carries cells and proteins
throughout the body.
Red Blood Cells
-which carry oxygen to the tissues.

White Blood Cells

- defend the body against infection from microorganisms.

White Blood Cells has two types:

Phagocytes
- Kill microorganisms like bacteria if they get into the
blood.

Lymphocytes
- Protect the body as they are able to neutralise the harmful
poisons or ‘toxins’ produced by microorganisms.

Platelets
- Play an important role in helping blood to clot at a
wound.

III. INTEGRATION
After the interaction of giving the laboratory activity the
teacher will ask to the students that will help their
classmate to share also what they have observed and
understand.

Now, I will show you a video presentation regarding to

the components of blood.

(The students will watch the video presentation)

Based on the video presentation that you have watched

earlier, what did you observe?
-Ma’am, I have observed that the three components of
blood had their own different functions in our body.

Very good! Blood is not just circulating in our body but

it gives us the energy, protein and nutrients to enjoy the
life that we are having.

How about the activity that we have?

-Ma’am I actually know how to get my blood type and also

identifying the different result if we put a yellow and blue
solution.

Very Good!

GENERALIZATION

Class do you understand our lesson for today?

-Yes, Ma’am!

I am open for some questions or clarifications?

-None, Ma’am.

Okay, It seems that you really understand what we

have tackled today.

B. AGREEMENT
(The Teacher will give an assignment to the Students)
Okay class for next meeting, I want you to search what is
the reason why there is a colour blind individual and what
is the formula of it. And write your findings in your
notebook and we will check it in next meeting.
