by the Powers S p e c ia lt y Company o f New York.

C a p a c ity . - The su p erh ea ter s h a ll have a c a p a c ity o f r a i s i n g the

tem perature o f 4500 lb s . steam p e r hour at a p ressu re o f

160 lb s . p e r sq. in . to 570° F. co rresp o n d in g to a superheat

o f 200°; and t o in c re a s e t h is superheat to SO0° f o r sh ort

spaces o f t i n e .

C o n s tr u c tio n . - The su p erh ea ter s h a ll be o f com posite c o n s tr u c tio n

and s h a ll c o n s is t o f a s e r ie s o f s t r a ig h t elem ents connected

to re tu rn boxes and s t e e l co n n ectin g h ead ers.
